  • big fella does it have any midi learn control?

  • @D84D Wished it did but, no it does not.:(

  • I've been using this soundcard for years. I run it with Reaper. Gravy-Gravy-Gravy. I use my hardware keyborard, dj mixer, torq, midi keyboard. Gravy Gravy Gravy. NO Problems.

1010/0202 with windows 7. gravy gravy gravy. rippin' it up.

  • how the hell do you conigure the patchmix to use a mic you have plugged on the card to be used in chatrooms or game chats? i cant igure it out, i have been trying to plug a mic and talk to my friends in games , i see the meters or my mic moving, but it is like i cant send the sound to the windows driver, only asio, please help

  • @petelebu The mic input in the patch mix you need to right click in the box(send) and select asio out. then to your right the 4 boxes under your effects window. You need to have that same asio output input in the ont of the top 2 out of the 4 boxes

  • @maltcus man i didnt understand the explanation, in the strip i have the mic i have to insert an asio out ?, lets say i choose asio 1/2 in the input strip of my mic, i cant put the same asio 1/2 in the send return boxes under the effects "tv" because it is in use already, this is so confusing.

  • @petelebu i know what you mean, i cant get any sounds to play back when i record into cubase or sonar. altho it does show up that sound has been recorded from my mic

  • i am using the 1010 pci card with patchmix.. i have successfully got 2 channel stereo sound thru coax but cannot get 5.1 dd or dts thru coax, can someone help.. i am using kmplayer. i also cannont find any playback templates. i bouhgt this card used and am having a hard time usin it.. op sys win 7

  • I think you can record from the analog an digital inputs simultaneously thus giving a total of four.

  • @EgoShredder yea but, the inputs will not be treated as 4 separate inputs. You will have 2 mono analog inputs(separate) and 1 Stereo digital input

  • With this soundcard/patchmix setup, can you change the sample size of your audio buffer to get a lower latency?

  • @CrazyHeliDude No you would have to adjust on your software. I no longer use this card so I can not check if it is possible but, I do not think it is possible to check the setting for the soundcard itself

  • Never can get this to work.So confusing lol.

  • @maltcus eeehm got a problem with the 1616pci...u know how to "connect" the monitor vol knob to my overall win volume? since i got a new pc it doesnt work. dont know where the problem is?!?! maybe u got something...manuel says nothing too...

  • @maltcus i couldnt find the patchmix skin on your site biggrime.net...?? is it still available for download? btw did u create that skin urself?

  • @rubbur18 No I did not. I did look into how to create one. The format is weird but, I am sure with a little more time I could. If you go to my official site. In the forum you will see Emu. Its in there some how it was gone but, its there now

  • maltcus, well it actually does work with your DAW. You can use the powerfx as vst plugins on your tracks which in turn uses the card instead of CPU power.. I will pm you the website that shows you how to set this up. This is how I use it for external hardware such as my Korg M3. I use the SPDIF in on the card. Then I insert a send to Asio 5/6. Then from there you can use it in both 32 and 64 bit Sonar. Remember 64 bit Sonar is a little different choosing your inputs for each track...

  • If most you you that do not know you can use powerfx within Sonar or Cubase. I got them working in Windows 7 even though E-mu says they don't work. PM and I will tell you how to get them working...

  • BTW you might ask why use powerfx within Cubase or Sonar. Well first they sound good. Second using VST FX utilizes CPU power. Using powerfx it doesn't utilize CPU or very, very little. E-mu did a great job on this.

  • @MrHardeeWildcats yes they did, For the price it really a steal. Its work perfectly. The only complaint I have is that is does not work well as a plugin in your DAW.

  • @maltcus add me to your friends list so I can pm you. I will show you how to use the powerfx in Sonar as a vst which in turn uses power from the card and not your cpu. Thats if you don't know how....

  • @MrHardeeWildcats well its not that I don't know how. It always crack and pop on me when I do. Maybe u know a better way. I use the send to the patch mix instead of the effects host vst. yea I am add u and tell me how u do it. thanks a lot.

  • As befits link Emu 1616m with Yamaha 01V96 Digital or to enter into LR in to record?

  • @djfilippo1 I have never used a Yamaha 01V96 Digital but, does it have adat connection? if so that may be your best option

  • Hey Big Grime is there a way to send the PCI IN L and PCI IN R into Cubase (or any other DAW) as 2 separate mono tracks? I get it setup to where PCI IN L goes to Asio 1/2 and PCI IN R goes to ASIO 3/4 but they still record in to Cubase as a single stereo track. Was just wondering if there was a workaround for this. Lemme know if u got any ideas....Thanks!

  • @Jlird808 u can use the inputs as 2 mono inputs. u will hear out of both L & R on each input. U cant do that on the output( u didn't ask but, thought I would mention it) yes when u load cubase and u use asio driver. u should have like 20 or 30 something ins and out. the asio 1/2 should be left & 3/4 should be right input. On the patch mix make sure u pan both PCI in L & PCI in R in the center so u can record stereo using mono. but really its no stereo its mono copied. does that help?

  • Hey Big Grime, Thanks for sharing... truly appreciated.

  • @111ent your welcome what are you currently using to mix??

  • @maltcus I've been using Pro tools HD2 Accel... but was lucky enough to sell it on ebay just before the new HD interfaces and software came out.

Just waiting for the dust to settle with the new Pro Tools 9 and to see what Avid plans on doing in regard to TDM HD cards.

Until then I've got a back up Pro Tools LE system and Logic Pro for rough mixes when I'm not in the studio.

  • @111ent yea I am kinda waiting to see as well. I am a cakewalk sonar user. The new cakewalk sonar x looks really good. I have not really looked into pro tools 9 yet. I am wondering about the HD cards and if avid was going to abandon them.
