Personally, as a hairdresser, I would never push someone to get their hair cut shorter than they want because they have to live with it not me. Some of these women are so pushy and then their results look awful. The only reason the second to last girl looked better with short hair was because her long hair had no movement whatsoever.

Over half these short haircuts are extremely unflattering. It may be edgy, but it still needs some femininity to it...notice all the hairdressers have long hair ...interesting.
