Wood/plant type creatures in alot of games are easy, although they usually have tons of the annoying status altering moves like poison and sleep

You always end up having to use loads of items against these kinds of bosses...

This guy is gimp. Gildervine shoulda been the God-Beast, just increase it's stats. WAAAY more challanging an this 'God-Beast'.

@ff2paladin if you were a good level, this boss is really easy. i had no problems with this boss myself. you also have to make sure you have the right element on to do more damage to him.

Maybe you have to perform a class change. Have you done that yet? If you haven't, you need to have one of them crystal things, or you could go to the Mana Holy Land and get leveled up there. In any case, once you get to the God-Beasts, you can't use the Mana Crystals anymore, since they have shattered.

Ok. Here is what I found out. Only the Dark path can learn the Jutsus; so if you became a Ranger, you are out of luck. Second, you need enough agility. You learn the final Jutsu, Thunder Jutsu, with an Agility of 17. There is nothing else to it, according to gamefaqs.

I honestly found Mispolm to be one of the harder beasts...

I don't know why. They're all pretty easy, though. The only one I ever had much trouble with was the Moon beast, and even then, the dungeon is harder.
