  • That Ford was a beast too.

  • That old Dodge is brutal. Tough old truck. That's a pretty tough hill.

  • don't eat the green snow!!

  • thats classic! The dodge takes a shit, the ford makes the hill, and the chevy tows you back! LOL! thats just great!

  • damn ram

  • is that hillbilly rockstar?

  • @000gum000ball000 no, that was my bros truck

  • @mudfreak79 ahhh i see, i love hillbilly rockstar that truck is sweet

  • Coming to Alberta soon. Heading out tomorrow nice to see people offroad there too. My cousin has been working there for a while aswell as a few friends and I heard people didn't offroad there much. Probably to busy working!

  • @MrRnizio1 well he is right about it being too busy to do much wheeling!! Where are you coming from?

  • @mudfreak79 Toronto , Ontario!

  • the red ford needs lockers :)

  • @MOZBURT Nah, they have to make it even between all the vehicles. If they put lockers in that Ford it would never get stuck and would just be boring :D

  • most power the dodge ever had when chevy was pullin it...

  • This looks like a blast.Winter four wheeling is always fun.

  • what was that green shit?

  • @XxClemsonTigersXx anti-freeze

  • @Brad4396, you just need to do some talking to your dad and have him upgrade to a chev or ford........... ;) He'll be happier and so will you knowing he is in something reliable, lol

  • LOL, that dodge prolly is does get better gas mileage then the chevie does. That's only because it's being towed by a chev. ;) Gotta luv a good old american chevrolet. Apple pie, hot dogs , baseball and CHEVROLET...................... ;)

  • Snow is lot different than mud buddy!

  • Back up, and hit er hard!! Haha nice trucks

  • need some weight on the back tires

  • got somebodys that work out there, and we love 4x4s,looks fun,:)

  • @Brad4396 , Brad, ford is a good pulling rig, when ur able to keep one running and NOT in the shop. ;)

  • I do apologize, but my S10 with 33's can climb that with out problems. :) Just look at my vids. ;) My buddy's K5 Blazer couldn't make it. Sexy truck though! I love the old trucks!!! I'm not bashing. Just saying it's a little funny how my tiny S10 could crawl that and also without breaking anything. :D Wish I was in Canada...Where at are you guys?? I'd love to come wheel. I visit Canada from time to time.

  • I have a shortbox 79 with 35s and a crappy 351M but i am rebuilding a 460 for it. I got it stuck in door deep snow, blew the real dif housing apart, the u-joint was gone, the pinion on the gorund and the limited slip gears were cracked to hell. I also tore out the long front end assembly. I hate snow and i tore out the rear 3 times so im going to put in some 4:10s or 4:11s and lock the rear. A 460 will eat those and new 38X14.5s will put to much torque on it so i have alot of work to do...

  • another dodge bites the dust

  • Cool !!!

  • whats the mpg like on the dodge and ford

  • I WANT SNOW.

    LOTS OF IT.

    NOW.

    PLEASE.

    THANKS

  • if only you hade mattracks, you wuld of get out a there like if it was a clean road

  • pfft of course the ford is the only one that made it

  • wow are you just trying not to go up the hill? A toyota would never have that hard of a time..

  • @scubasteve2525 a Toyota wouldn't make it to the hill

  • @jordtizzle i dont care what the rig is. properly equipped and with the right driver a toyota will climb a building.

  • @TBWdracula2003 toyota sucks

  • @jordtizzle at first i was trying to cure you of you're ignorance. but now i see its stupidity. and that's terminal so. good luck with that.

  • @TBWdracula2003 only thing that's terminal is driving a Toyota, accelerator will probably get stuck

  • @TBWdracula2003 only thing that's terminal is driving a Toyota, accelerator will probably get stuck

  • @jordtizzle totally because that was a problem with i believe only the 08's and 09's that problem would completely effect a early to mid 80's 4x4 pickup. you're just proving how stupid you are with every single comment you post. which btw all you're accomplishing is sucessfully raising the comment post number by 1

  • @jordtizzle wow really? you're stupid. please castrate you're self and save the rest of the world a huge problem

  • One word..... Momentum

  • One word..... Momentum

  • If you think its a dodge pause it at 1:30.

  • @redmp68 @ 1:30 is a '78 or '79 Ford, but the truck in the very beginnning is a POS Dodge. :)

  • @redmp68 the other truck is a Dodge. The Ford only comes down the hill, the Dodge fails at going up the hill..

that driver sucks. i've climbed bigger hills in my S10.

  • cool video man, typical dodge lol keep wheelin!!!

  • Good Ol' FORD.

  • Is this near a oil rig?

  • @MrRnizio1 no, gravel pit

  • cool shit man! good times!

  • the coldest i ever felt here in missouri was -20 farenheit with a -35 windchill....

  • @buckbaldry89 Grande Prairie

  • @mudfreak79 wha happened to the dodge?

  • @buckbaldry89 Alberta, Canada

  • dayng yall should go i tha mud and just give'r

  • looks like the ford needs a new tir rod end

  • that looks fun as hell

  • LOL... ya need some maxtrax..

  • nice 79...or 78?

  • @mudfeak79 - Take it from someone who lives in 90+ degrees year around... it gets old after while and we wish that it would get cooler and when it does EVERYBODY is whining on how cold it is and wish it would warm up again then the whining starts again. Theres no happy medium is what Im babbling about in other words LOL!!!

  • @freakyflyone yeah, I'm sure if I moved somewhere warmer I would eventually miss winter, I don't mind the snow so much, its the _40* days that are brutal to deal with LOL.

  • @freakyflyone True I like all seasons. If it's hot out cold water or AC will help. If it's cold out hot chocolate or a heater helps. Having the 2 makes you appreciate things that most take for granite. It also gives you more activites to do on a yearly basis.

  • the best part of this is the chevy pulling all at the end.

  • nothing like old iron ..got a 78 bronco with a rear detroit and front truetrac...lots of fun!!

  • nice rad leak lol

  • Ford dont need no rescue BOOYAA

  • chevy rescues a dodge, this is a normal event. lol

  • Lol true thats how it usually is!

  • @andylanders1 same with people bullshittin aboout different makes of trucks on you tube

  • shoulda bought a chevy but a good video

  • typical dodge getting stuck. It was either going to get stuck or break down.Buy a Chevy and good for many, many years.

  • I hope that wasn't the timing chain cover on that dodge.... I done it twice and it flippin sucks, sweet vid though nonetheless

  • why does it seem like somethin always breaks

  • that truck sucked anyways

  • awsome wheelin' i love canada.. best part of that video is the chevy pullin the dodge :)

  • No doubt

that as rare as seeing a panda walking down martin luther king blvd sitting on a bench at malcome X park.

  • yea i know man, thats a rare thing to come across, dont happen too often :)

  • Looks fun. I was going to make some good videos of mine. Just died the other day though. Too bad. She was a beast. Took a hell of a beating though.

  • Love the first generation Dodges. Nice. Snow wheeling is great.

  • love this video! looks like things to come, or so i hope...

  • ya kno, everyone says that skinny tires is the way to go for sno blazing.. and sure it is.. on a low, gutless truck, by i know that my old 85 with 44x21s would blaze through more snow than any 35x12.5 same with my other truck with 33x15s

  • you can't make it in that deep snow without chains or proper tires

  • tires are not the problem i got a 79 bronco that can make it and it runs the same size

  • you need skinny tires with chains.

  • nice trucks

  • 2:35 looks like there is offset wheels or spacers making a lot of torque steer on that front axle!

  • you really need skinny tires to do that.......

  • what kind of tires r those

  • some new steering shocks looks to be in order for the highboy! lol!

  • shoulda had a yota

  • looks cold as shit lol gotta love it though

  • 1:52...dont eat the green snow lol

  • dude u guys roll in some badass trucks!

  • hey stmadman77, they also ran 203's & starchief59 was referring to the engine i believe. dodge & ford both ran danas front & rear in their 3/4 & 1 ton trucks. they both had their own rear axles for the 1/2 tons but used the dana front axle still as did gm until 1977 when they introduced the 10 bolt 1/2 ton & 3/4 ton (basically the same as a D44). gm also used their own rear axles for all the trucks they built & used a D60 front in their 1 ton trucks & dually trucks came with D70's in the rear

  • chevys had dana 44s up front till 87

  • such a nice truck

  • try letting some air out of your tires

  • dam... i love 70s ford......when i get a truck again, were gonna go with

36" tires with a 6" lift, Dana 60 front and rear, built 5.7 of 5.9 litre, TH700 tranny, 205 trany case.

  • TH700? You mean the 700r4? Those things are junk. Better a TH350 or TH400.

  • th400 is my favorite after its beefed a bit had a 700r4 and she blew sprags all day long wiht bigh tires and driving it a bit rought in the back country

  • ford are the fucking sweet bitch mine will own anybodys

  • just buy an unimog =)

  • hey starcheif59 doge and ford and chevy all ran 205s and dana diffs in the old days so how could one be better than the other? do your research before you say who is better

  • I wouldnt be suprized if the ford was in front of the chevy pulling em both at the end!

  • You guys are mistaken, those old Dodge's are bullet proof. The '70s Power Wagons are pretty much indestructible. I had a '74 Power Wagon 360 4 speed 4x4. Nothing on the whole truck worked, it looked like it belonged in a junk yard, but it ran like a top and could probably pull a train up a mountain.

Ford is a good truck also but drivetrain-wise those old Dodges had them beat

  • snow wheelin' hear its hard as hell..... sure looks like it

  • u guys wheel ur trucks to fucking hard, i would never wheel my dodge that hard but atleast its intertaining to watch lol

  • its a dodge of course u wouldn't, it would break

  • Fords wouldnt start in that weather so its still better then yours.

  • @girc52 i didnt know dodges lasted that long... never see them that old haha

  • haha, i wouldnt wheel a dodge hard either.

  • thats because its a dodge and you would loose the transmission

  • haha yeah my cuz has an 82 dodge 4x4 and he was muddin in it and the tail gate flew off and hit the truck behind us

  • flat bodys look like crap

  • ITS CALLED A FLAT BED...

  • thats cuz dodge sucks......get a chevy and you would wheel it...weeener.

  • Ford dont build them like that any more. There engineers are a bunch of city pussys building trucks for girls that like the hard pavement.

  • Ya man i agree....the new ones are pretty comfortable and somewhat nice to look at, but aint so nice when u wana do some mechanical work! My buddies dad had a 79' f250, he was out moose huntin' and rolled it over a "small mountain"...he got tossed around pretty good, and the truck landed right side -up.... but then he just sat up again started the truck and drove home...lol. try doin that with a new one,...more than likely a few fuckin sensors would go flyin...ahahha!!!

  • @andrewneil351 thats cause those new trucks are made of fiber glass. fuckers can take any time of hit. older trucks like a 79 f250's built like a tank!

  • @bombaboy12 I'm pretty sure there aren't any trucks on the market now made of fiberglass. They're still metal, it's just a thinner metal so they can save weight for better fuel economy. The only thing not metal are usually the under parts of bumpers and the grilles.

  • Sadly they all have all taken that terrible road. Trucks and SUV"s alike. It SUCKS!

  • What a great truck. How can you beat her like that? She only wants to please. If you want to abuse buy a Kia...

  • Nothing worse than a leaky header gasket.

  • I tap he brakes with my left foot and it make a world of difference

  • wut year is that? and is it a f250?

  • 79 F150

  • Awesome fun. You guys were having a real riot. GREAT. It seems those times are a little to infrequent for all of us. Get out there and ler 'er RIP!

    Ron

  • easy not going to make friends here with the Toyota comment, lol. i was wondering when they were going to call in a Toy or GM to get the job done. :oP.

  • What a bumber having to be towed home after a hard day at work. Great Vids though.

  • Yeah this is in Alberta, all that snow fell in one night. Hell of a snow storm to start off the winter. I hate it, I'd rather have 90+ degrees all year!!

  • Sure looks cold out. Where is this Canada. I'm used to the mud in Minnesota and the mild winters. Looks like they had freakin hell of a good time. Good looking truck though.

  • dude that red fore's right front wheel was woboling

  • What a driver...

  • damn near dirt instead of snow when the ford finally makes it way to go chevy pullin dude home

  • yeah open diffs suck big time. The chev had to get the ol dodge back to the trailer after blowing the lower rad hose and over heating LOL

  • i was just saying before the hose blew that i might be a good idea to let it cool down a few minutes before trying again. great video though. that old Ford showed it's not difficult if you get it right. also i could so hear the Canadian in ya aye ;o) beautiful place but it's so damn cold !

  • mean soundin Dodge.....nice knock too lol

  • how much lift is is the dodge. i have a similer one and am interested in puting a lift in and would like to know how high i should go.

  • I believe it was a 6" lift, truck has been sold since then so I'm not sure exactly.

  • ok the size of lift is all on ur personal preference's or what u want to do with it and if u want to keep it road worthy let me know what u want to do with it i should beable to give u some idea's

  • thats must be that great american feeling.

  • Its great living in America the winters are very very cold though in Minnesota

  • ach up here in canada the avaerage tempurature is usually about -30 to -50 degrees celcius. thats fuckin cold

  • When in doubt...dig ruts...dont bother getting a run at it. JK

    Looks like FUNN!!!

And the Chevy pulls Ya home...SWEET!

  • GIT-R-DONE!

  • looks like a great time as long as the heater works. I live florida and have never wheeled in snow but it looks like mud style driving would work. wheel speed, aggresive tires and lots of horsepower. Am I correct?

  • You are 100% correct. Deep snow is just like mud, except its cleaner, and a hell of alot colder!! Good place to try out winter mods on my mudbogger before the races start HAHA

  • lock it up!!!

  • Looked like a good time even with the break. You guys are what we need in the U.S.Army. REDNECKS.............

  • the tire on that dam truck are bald why would you even try that

  • it doesnt matter if the tire is bald if you think yo can do it why not try it.

  • did he over heat it or blew the radiator?

  • I agree with hemikia, probably just a bad hose or something. My 79 dodge powerwagon is tougher than shit!! Only has 47,000 original miles on it too.

  • Ford all the way. 1979

  • Im surprised you aint got some treehuggin hippie bitchin at ya bout tearing shit up, and bad eco en crap. great vids man, where abouts is ya from?

  • This is a gravel/sand pit that lots of guys play in, but we've since ceased the use of it for ourselves as there are way better places to go on the other side of the river. We're from Grande Prairie, Alberta

  • Ah 10-4, i knew there couldnt be any good places left in Wisconsin i hadnt seen. Keep the mud-a-flyin' and bring out more great videos. Take it safe brother.

  • Whats wrong with being good to the eco?

  • Being good to the eco is fine, it's just the people who think being good to the eco means taking the fun away, without thinking it all the way through.

  • i don't care what anybody says dodges rule, he probaly just had a bad hose, or shit happens.

  • Playin in the snow is always fun!

  • No its more like thats what happens when hoses go bad Mark. Nice Power Wagon man

  • lol thats what happens when you get a dodge wet ha ha ha Dis One Dont Go Eather

  • lower rad hose blew up

  • Cracked Radiator?

by the way i like your accent
