I don't understand why people object to T&J becoming friends in this movie. They become friends in some episodes of T&J, such as Dog Trouble or Triplet Trouble, & that's one of the best things about T&J; one of the reasons it's so much better than Road Runner or Tweety & Sylvester; one of the reasons it's more original, it has more variety & it's not as one-sided.

They made the original show understandable without having tom and jerry talk, but this bad movie doesn't have the same creativity, it will never be like tom and jerry.

The classic tom and jerry wasn't a music, and it was creative how they made the story work without having them talk, but they were too lazy to use that same creativeness in this story, where they took away the theme from comedy to emotion which is one reason the movie was ruined, it didn't relate to the shows theme.
