I think the suicide van you are talking about (which is clearly not part of the convoy because all convoy trucks would have running lights) was meant to slow the convoy down and bunch them up over the IED. Vans packed with explosives ARE a tactic they have used however, so you could be right. Although they usually use van/truck bombs to attack buildings.

because it is so easy to take that side, and doesn't realize there is more than the negativity seen on t.v. i bet if he knew people over there to see it all go down with there own eyes he would think differently. I have 5 good friends and two family members overseas now and 2 friends in training and they see past all the trendy hype and easy attacks on this subject, and the subject is ALWAYS war. never anything about domestic issues.

They can fire torpedoes, exocets (antiship misile) and Harpoons (anti-ship missile). They have no submerged-to-air defensive capability and no nuclear weapons capability.
