  • Congrats on your video. I am also considering building the YU1LM ADTRX1-V1 and I wonder if you are using the QRP2000 kit as USB sinthesiser. Did you try this SDR on TX ?

Did you also build B1 and B2 boards?

    Many thanks and success, 73's

  • I'm considering building one of these radios, do you have any afterthoughts or advice?

  • I have an oscilloscope just like that, except yours is a 524 and mine is a 526. And it has a NASA sticker on it for calibration. Good video, I enjoyed it but almost fell asleep from the music.

  • what was the etchant?

  • HI, congratulations for your work, it's incredible. What program do you use? ..

  • That program that you used at the end is so cool! How do you get something like that set up?

  • Cool video. I miss so much doing my own PCBs, nowadays at job or university everything I just write firmware :(

  • Very cool video and SDR. Is the design open source?

  • Nice song! it totally matches the video, what's its name?

  • @Knightmetal this is "Michael Whalen - One Becomes a Trillion"

  • hi, can tell me from where you buy PCB?

i take some from Ebay, made china true is cheap but, poor quality.. good luck in all your projects, 73 !

  • Very impressive work. I wonder how good is SDR, what are your experiences with it. How it works as transmitter?

  • Impressive work!

  • I would kill to be able to etch my own boards. I have a lot of projects I need to build. Anyone got some links?

  • @Pepsifx357

There are tons of youtube videos explaining the process. I've had success using the toner transfer method if you can get access to a laser jet printer. That and you need Ferric Chloride to etch the boards. Everything else you need is normal household stuff (like an iron, a sharpie for touch ups, some tupperware, etc.)

  • @BlackCow99 I don't think I'll be in possession of a laser jet anytime soon. But thanks for the info.

  • @Pepsifx357

Yeah, they are freaking expensive. I had access to one at my school. A library will have one too. You just need to be able to load in photo-gloss paper.

  • @BlackCow99 So basicaly you just need the toner to imprint the design onto the photo-gloss paper to then use it to do the job?

  • @Pepsifx357

Yup, you just iron it on to your copper clad board (make sure to print it out as a mirror image!). Laser jet toner basically sprays plastic onto the page which transfers over nicely.

  • @BlackCow99 Hmm, seems you've given me some ideas...Thanks!

  • Congratulations, you did very good not only with the construction of the radio but also by delivering such a high quality video to us. Well done and keep up the good work.

    good dx and 73's
