Just to clarify, the order given was 'hard to starboard'. The order was given in this way because in the early 1900s, the British Royal Navy used the old form of giving orders, a throwback to when ships were steered by tillers. When you move a tiller to the right (starboard) the ship turns to the left (port), unlike a wheel which will turn the ship the same way as it itself is turned by the helmsman. Hence, Lieutenant Murdoch said 'hard to starboard', meaning 'turn the ship to port'.

@RockiBalboa101 Have you actually seen the production LIVE at a QUALITY theatre?? (Not this one!) this production doesn't do this show justice at all...they screwed up the lines, slowed the tempo and had HORRIBLE singers.when done right, its a beautiful musical.it was made as RESPECT to the tragedy. it was put in a musial because only music can express the true emotion of this tragedy.The movie didn't accomplish what this Musical does. There are NO good videos of this musical on Youtube...
@13Talk Exactly... I was just Fred Fleet, yes I'm a girl and was casted as a guy, and there really isn't any decent videos of Titanic: The Musical- other than ones that came from the actual Broadway version.

It was a matter of keeping the time down. Full length is 12 mins 45 secs so I cut a lot more than you mention. Cardoza's dialogue and Mr & Mrs Strauss were cut down as well. Cheers for the comment.
I love this part. You can tell something is gonna happen. How come things are cut? Between where Caroline says he'll be a success and where Autumn starts. This Fleet shows more emotion when he sees the icburg than the Fleet on the soundtrack.
The music director must have fallen asleep and they were basing the tempo off his snores! Holy cow, this is beyond slow, it's completely lagging.

Okay I have watched several clips of this production and while it is amazingly staged and sung, the tempo does seem to be just a tad slow.
