Straight Funk. The radio makes me almost feel "immune" to music like this. I actually had to listen to it for a minute so I could settle into the grove. And ?uestlove is KILLING." Shout out to the drummers...thanks for posting this lady!!!
not sure if this has already been said (wasn't going through all the comments to find out) lol but this song is from the Voodoo "Outakes and Extras" Album that was put out shortly after Voodoo Hit the Streets.
glad some of these mfs finally found their way 2 youtube, i always imagined that these jam sessions were some shit mfs would love. thanks 4 posting them where i could actually find em'
@mraaron81 ok grasshopper... this man and his group just needs to come on out of the shadows...ya see i am old enough to be a grown up in the sixties, it just makes my heart and soul real happy when those much younger pay homage to the OGs...by the way can you give me info on this baddass pino dude....muc thanks grasshopper
Lolz @ all da negative clicks i get 4 loving something so much as a unknown music artist to wanna contribute to it,it'll be like Black Thought from The Roots or Common on it,don't trip, lolz
for years i always told my wife that i tought that d'angelo's vodoo was the best album ever made and that this guy is extremely talented and at least for the vodoo album he should have won like 10 grammys!! It's not about the prizes but now i feel very happy when i found here in youtube and in blogs so many people the think as i do. For all of you D'angelo fanatics :-) enjoy because it will not get much better then this guy and if it does, only he can do it!!!
@edsonflores25 Well ur not alone bc i consider myself a music head who has a lot of favorites, but to this day, the only album i can think of where i not only was feeling, but intensely *loved* EVERY SINGLE track from beginning to end, is Voodoo. He knew what the hell he was doing.
We love you and stay supportin you D!! A man of his music>>>>>> a sex symbol
@edsonflores25 there are other talented musicians too but i agree that there's only 1 d... he's definitely talented and a gift to the music industry. i don't care if he doesn't blow up... as long as he keeps making music. his voice is like therapy to me... a song for every mood and attitude. luvmesomed!!!
unreal...i miss this man's musicality so much! after growing up in an era with REAL music, musicianship of this caliber is so precious and lovely. it's like the grand canyon...leaves you breathless and gracious. come back, d!
This is like some James brown shit!!! Stuff like this isn't even presently appreciated anymore. Listen to how D, James, Pino and ?love vibe. No machine or computers. Just raw musicianship. This is the reason why he called the album Voodoo. It's a spirtual connection musicially amongst them. Dis brotha gotta come back out!!!!
What CD is this off of?
