He thinks that I could have gone faster just in Drive....only using 3 gears and allowing the 3rd to rev higher and get more HP and torque but the car is so fucking fast.....it doesn't make a difference!!!!!
The Turbo is about the engine. Its the 3.8L Buick inspired Turbo with larger heads and a GNX intercooler. The turbo 350 or 305 that your refering to is the standard transmissions that come with firebirds and camaros. But the transmission in the this car is the Turbo Hydramatic T200R4.
Yes it was a very clean, all original car. Don't wish upon a star go out and buy one. Maybe not a TTA but a GTA is just as cool. Do it today because some day we are not going to be here!!!! DEAD!!!!!!! And then its too late!!!!!!

I would try your local Junk Yard or Craigslist. You can also check out THIRDGEN.ORG. This is the best site for 1982-1991 Firebird and Camaros. I have been a memeber for 11 years!!!
@cartoonboi buttons on the stering wheel are for radio, i believe GM under rated these at around 250hp so they wouldent be seen as faster than the corvette; but they are :)
It was not by choice. I have 2 kids and only a 2 car garage. Don't feel too bad for me, with the $14K that I got I bought a 2007 Infiniti G35X 4 door with 35K miles for $20K. Its just a fast as the TTA and I can bring my wife and kids with me.

you will tear that tranny a new one if you do. A 3.8L Turbo was underated at 250hp/330tq. They really make 303hp/350tq. Seeing how a t-5 from a v8 has a rating of 300tq you will be in the middle of the road picking up pieces of your 5-speed. You could uprgade the manual with stronger internals though and if you dont dog it too much you might be able to get away with it
#373. I have a letter from Pontaic Historal Socitey stating the # and I also have the window sticker showing that the car cost over $32K in 1989 which when adjusted for inflation would cost over $55K, Crazy Mad Money?
Or you can check the VIN. The eighth digit should be a "7" and the RPO should be "LG3" which means it has the V6 Turbo. My car has both so its a real TTA.
from that exhaust notes ...it sure doesn't sound like a v6...but from what it's packing of course it's raw power with a turbo...hence why it's a badass car! Good luck on the sale!
