The Ashbourne Singers are performing this next Sunday (21st June) as prt of the Ashbourne festival and I can honestly say that I'm not sure I could have gone through with it if it hadn't been for this clip and your other R&H clip. There were some parts I just couldn't get o grips with but now I think I'm sorted! Did you do the rest of the medley? I would love to hear that too. Thanks for your help!!
Wow! Do you think you guys will sing Rodgers and Hammerstein music again? Because I plan to come England for study abroad from Colorado State University in two semesters.
Well I can see what we can do, I am sure if i let our MD know that we are developing an American fan base and that you might come especially to one of our concerts she could be swayed to lay on some R&H in concert. The details wiill be posted ont our page when i know them ok?
Oh my gosh! I love your choir. I really want to go see a choir that sings Rodgers and Hammerstein music. Recently, I went to a dinner theatre to watch Carousel and it was highly disappointing because it lacked voices and harmony and the instrumentation was only piano and drums, no orchestra. Though, that you only have a piano, the plethora of voices makes up for the instrumentation. If anyone knows where i can watch a choir that does this in Colorado, I would love to go.
Thank you, i am sorry i don't know any choirs in Colorado as we are based in Kent, England. If you are ever in England please come to one of our concerts they are reputable in the area and we get a good turn out. At the moment we are working towards a smaller concert in a nearby village. I will most likely post a video of this soon so look out for it. Nicole (publicity officer, The Marlowe Singers)
we did do both parts but the camera wasn't advanced enough, the other part is marked as part 1 :D

I'm singing R&H on Broadway in a couple of weeks time. My favourite song from it is You'll Never Walk Alone (the last one).

Nice, but I prefer Leslie Uggams' version.
