Honestly, I just had an epiphany on the aerodynamic setup of drag-racing cars. As stupid as Funny cars look, I think the biggest problem lies in the rear spoiler, designed to keep pressure on the rear wheels for more traction/downforce. That's really not very aerodynamic at all. In fact at the speeds they are traveling I am sure they are more of the problem than the solution towards a safe/fast time. Once they get going over 100 mph or so, the rear spoiler actually lifts the front end of the car

I think you need to take a class in physics, because the rolling around this car did is actually much better than stopping suddenly, because it gives more time to convert the kinetic energy.
