@tfunknationtown sure! the hook they use in this song over and over and over again is a direct rip off instant karma's chorus. the chord progression, melody, and rhythm of the melody sounds very similar to imagine in many parts. now i realize everyone has influences and music is built from the past, but this is a pretty blatant rip. they're the new jet! check out their song do you. the chorus sounds like a pixies song to me. where is my mind to be exact.

The Man" comes from David Bowie's bigger than life theme of "Ziggy Stardust" they wanted to have a name like a Ziggy Stardust or Sgt Pepper, but they didn't want the band to be named after one person, so they picked a country to represent a group of people, in the end Portugal just sounded the best.. but the fact that Portugal is a man also states that he is a singular "bigger than life" kind of person, much like a ziggy stardust, make sense?
