  • That's very good to learn this idioms, but I'm vegetarian!... Thanks for yours precious theachings! _Silvio - from Brasil

  • I just have one question? the expressions are the same for UK and USA? I live in California and I'm studying english and I like to improving my speech, thanks in advance.

  • using idioms makes the difference

  • I think idiom iis the hardest thing to understand.

One exemple in english it rains cats and dogs becomes in French it rains ropes.

I hate misunderstanding so I never use idioms in any languages!

  • take care all single moms naneedj.info

  • Yes, this vid is very informative. actually, so informative that I cant memorize all of them in two shakes of a lamb's tail. but your doing a very good job.

  • Very interesting and informative.

  • good...i liked the video

  • Pork is white meat.

  • @KenMacMillan In the USA and Israel, yes. In the UK, no. It's red meat.

  • @Linguaspectrum You learn something new every day.

  • Thanks you very much, it is very entretaining I enjoyed a lot!

  • as always, great video, but yeah... a little creepy indeed. none the less, i wahtched this video while eating pork tenderloin haha ironic isnt it?

  • Interesting!

  • Another one: Are you making enough money? Got enough "steaks in the fridge" for the family? ... maybe steak is an american word? I don't know British things.

  • :) Entertaining. Really creepy music, and what's with all the red / blood?

  • @jefolicr Hi, and thanks for watching and for taking the time to comment. Thanks for the new idiom, it's one I haven't heard.

Red=blood. The whole video was designed to make you think twice before tucking into that nice juicy steak. Hopefully it will make you feel a bit queasy at the thought of eating meat.

    Best wishes,

    Richard

  • Very useful, but need to be watch a several times ,if wanna be memorized. But anyway, there's a little problem. When I'm not using some words quite often ,they just flying away from my memory :). "To beef up your English"? That's the first time I've heard that. In Yorkshire people says "to brush up ". Ufff... idioms are so troublesome, but it's good to know them. Thanx for video.

  • if you eat meat you eat your good karma

  • thanks for your good videos.

  • This is really a very good video.

  • Great method. Great video. Never stop doing this!

I like learning from these videos a lot, but memorizing these makes me go bananas.

I believe watching these videos will bear fruit in some time.

A real lemon will it be when I start to use them. But I won't chicken out if I make a mistake. :D

  • Very good job again Richard. Thank you a lot!

  • Thanks for the video, I liked the idea of explaining new idioms immediatelly and not at the end of the video.

By the way, in Poland we say about a cat in a poke, not a pig :)

  • @E5D7S Thanks for your comments. It's interesting that you say, cat in a poke, in Poland. It was a cat that the unlucky punter normally ended up with, thinking they had bought a piglet. So they really did buy a cat in a poke.

  • I'm very happy for suscribe you, I've learned a lot Mr. "Linguaspectrum" . Thanks for your time and dediaction.

  • @OscarJark You're welcome, and thanks for subscribing and for your interest.

  • @Linguaspectrum

I couldn't get it. I think You need to pause between each idiom.

    Thank you . :)

  • @saad6321 Thanks for watching the video and for your comments. Can I suggest that you use the pause button when watching the video?

  • @rutsablei Acually, I eat very little meat. I eat far more vegetables and a little fish. But fish idioms is another video lesson entirely. Thanks for watching.

  • Good video, but I tremble just to see meat. Talking about education, watch the documentary Earthlings, there you'll meet the meat too.
