  • Save yourself some time. It lifts off at 0:23

  • sir we have the technology

  • its faster if you simply start normal...^^

  • Marty, where were going, we don't need roads!

  • Nice,..:)

  • Jumpjet

  • The can't imagine the power that goes into it !

  • omg i remember one crashed in my hometown lowestoft at an air festival a few years back, i was in the sea at the same time, some noisy shit.

  • strange but my car sounds just like that when on 1st gear. (it takes off too ) :D btw .... love this jet

  • Rip

  • f-35b will destroy this clunky junker in a few years

  • @detroitbball26 Hahaha indeed, but this one rocks too!

  • Dear Santa...

  • need 7 killstreaks for this in mw2

  • I got an urge to play GTA (Grand Theft Auto) San Andreas all of a sudden!

  • AMAZING AIRCRAFT!!!!! MADE IN ENGLAND.....

  • @hernandezrivas Unfortunately, this one probably wasn't. The US built theirs under license in the US, and they've made a lot of revisions to them to boot.

That said, we made a lot of revisions to ours as well; just a shame they're being retired. I still can't see how the F-35 is supposed to match this tough old bird in CAS duties...

  • Nice vid

  • Dear Santa...

  • To think my dad flew these for a living

  • that is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen made by man.

  • oh shit where is my stinger

  • That was bad ass!

  • TURN UP YOUR SOUND!!!!! IT MAKES YOUR SPEAKER EXPLODE!!!!!!

  • HAHAHAH Show off much!?

  • I noticed the US Navy doesn't use ski jumps like the RN did with their Invincibles. Wouldn't that save fuel during loaded take offs from the Marine flattops?

  • @Planetar17 Probably would for the Harrier, but only the Harrier. The other birds they use are all toughened for catapult launches - adding a ramp would kill that capability, and stop most of their fast air from being able to get off the deck.

  • Holy fuel consumption Bat Man

  • @FreeBlago1 LOL

  • it's is genius, think about how much runway space you can save if commercial aircrafts would use the same to take off, or how much a aircraft carrier can carry

  • @mosilhy it is the future of aeronautics, one day airports wont even have runways :)

  • massive boner

  • these motherfuckers are loud as fuck in person even from like 100 yards theyre loud as shit

  • OMG that was super cool. Our technology is incredible. We have many other toys that are bad ass as well. That is why we are the worlds most powerful force.

  • @cheevous 'our technology' ?

  • @cheevous Its British Tech mate ok

  • Show Stopper !!.........Best Jet Invented.

  • 0:44 tie fighter

  • No words for this plane the only word i think when i see it is "Wonderfull"

  • Phenomenal aircraft

  • yet we dont have jet packs that can lift a person

  • @mbiokoeb actually!! funnily enough a couple of engineers ( i guess ) actually have made a jetpack type thing! my mate showed me it in college yesterday ha, genuis.. let alone the inventor of the harrier :P

  • @mbiokoeb we do but they're expensive

  • wheres the turret at?

  • %4Proxy-Connection: keep-alive

    Cache-Control: max-age=0

rSpidey121 thats cod overpowering the harrier strike or else everyone would bitch about it.%

  • A very great reason we all love the HARRIER!!!

  • BADASS!!!!!!

  • Just listen to the baby's engine. Dawwwwwww

  • Made In England!

  • @telebyte1683 Unfortunately not. Only the British Harriers were made in England.

  • @telebyte1683 Designed and first flown in Ireland (Sc1)

  • this is awesomely awesomeest

  • so this is where they spawn...

next time i get a 7 killstreak ill know where its coming from,,, interesting

  • @7blueblood

    no, just no.

  • Enough with the Modern Warfail 2 refrences...

  • @Roflmao551 not so funny now mr rolling on the floor laughing your stupid ass off is it?

  • @derpotni3riots I do believe you mean roflmsao...my name clearly states "ROFLMAO" no stupid in it...*INSERT FAIL MARK HERE*

  • @Roflmao551 yes i inserted that in there because i was feeling stupid at the time but i tried to pawn it off on you but you of course caught me and im going to insert the FAIL MARK HERE and there and now right into my ass. hey i just came, thanks alot. add me

  • well that was easy

  • Friendly harriers incoming!

  • whoever came up with the idea of these planes is GOD

  • @hobosapiensapien2 that would be a british guy ;) best part was the uk govt turned him down cus they thought the harrier design was stupid, hence america built the 1st ones then sold em back to the uk, which we then redesigned and sold back =D...

  • @pred99 What Tosh mate. We built them in the 1960s, flew them then US marines got interested. US had a big part in improving them - (think you added some go faster spoilers - or fancy stripes), but in no way can you say you were responsible for them. *** Built the first ones - "have a word with yourself". We did buy the improvements though - well - even perfection can be improved.

  • Everywhere I go some people always mention Call of Duty or some other videogame and it's getting pretty annoying

  • I shoot people with this in gta sa

  • reminds me of something from the halo series lol.

  • how did he get on a 7 killstreak? hope he gets his nuke...

  • Now he's gonna have to come back in 6 minutes to refuel!!!!

  • so if you were gonna do something like this in the Marines would they assign you to a sqad of planes and you go wherever the planes go?And I mean like work on them

  • i wonder how they operate the vertical takeoff from the cockpit??? kool aircraft

  • i want it

  • BAD ASS.

  • san andreas :D

  • Us Britts get some thing right :))

  • This is the classic British bodge. The UK government would not put any money into it early on ( they had come to the conclusions missiles were the way forward ), so it was privately funded. It pushed the limits of the engine to the point were they had to have a big weight reduction of components to be able to get it to fly. And it crashed on display at the Paris airshow when a valve jammed. The Harrier is the classic British bodge, amazing 'cos it got to fly at all !

  • gta sa hydra

  • Harriers use a ridiculous amount of fuel for vertical takeoff.

  • holy shit that is sick!!

  • you have to accept that AV8-B Harrier has the most powerfull engine in the world, it is for men not for clowns.

  • russian yak 141 is better

  • @buco036 the harrier came first and is more battle proven

  • That takeoff is eaven faster than the F-35's

  • F35 is too heavy....

  • That's so impressive :)

  • God I would love to fly those!!! last Harrier flight school class is in 2016 last time I checked so I have a chance

  • badass

  • that's what I call awsome!

  • pride and joy of england

  • Rule Britannia!

  • What genius was like, "Planes that take off straight aren't cool enough. I want one that just floats and can fly like a helicopter."

  • well it isn't very hard to get it floating when you got it to take off vertically... it's just a bit less power so it won't go up.

  • @rounce55 That would be Hawker Siddeley

  • @rounce55 the genius that realized airstrips are an easy target to spot for your enemy

  • @rounce55 a genius who wanted to be able to hide it in confined spaces, or deploy it to & from areas without a useable runway

  • @rounce55 Don't forget the firepower ^_^

  • @rounce55 Any drunken guy has a dozen of such 'brilliant' ideas per day. Genius is the one that makes one of the ideas workable.

  • @rounce55 British Genius mate !!!

  • BEST PLANE EVER

  • Very good harriers are really cool! :)

  • Harriers are fucking cool

  • F-U-C-K-!!!!

  • You can never i say never ever replace the harrier it has showed the best and future technology.

  • and it makes me want a jetpack so bad.

  • Thrust vectoring my friend.

  • dats frickin crazy how it can do dat

  • amazing.. Would love a chance to fly in one of these!

  • I want a Harrier so bad. =0

  • The JSF, or F-35 will have two modes of flight. The US Navy has the F-35A which will be conventional takeoff and landing. The US Marines will get the F35B, which will be VSTOL, or vertical takeoff and landing. The Navy model has already begun to roll off the production line, and the Marines should be getting ours around 2012.

  • The current F-35 rolling off the production lines (F-35A) is the Air Force variant. There is currently no working Navy prototype (F-35C), though one is planned. The USMC F-35B has been delayed for approximately one year due to engine trouble.

  • @irarushing Do you know if those planes have ever been used in a real war/conflict ? I thought those planes were kind of outdated...

  • @F3FisGoodforYou

The Falklands and 1991 Gulf war

  • @F3FisGoodforYou yeah, type in youtube, harrier fly by low in afghan haha its mentle!

  • @irarushing I'll bet you the first f-35 is not deployed till 2015 at the earliest

  • Aren't they supposed to make a version of the new YSF joint strike fighter like this with vertical take-off. Saw a video of it a while back.

Awesome ability to take off from a stationary position like that. Many advantage, don't know why the military doesn't pursue this more. I mean, this plane was introduced in 1969 Since then, no other.

  • amazing

  • awesome
