I have both 360 and PS3. After playing Gears of War 3 I've decided to purchase the whole Resistance series. I've just finished the last one and I must say I had a BLAST. I'm an XBOT by nature but do enjoy the PS3 as a change of pace. Both GoW and Resistance in my opinion are not better than one another just has their own originality and I've enjoyed both equally.
@niedervi it was crap at first like the beta, but now it's not that bad. there r some laggers that seriously need to GTFO, and there is some spawn trapping in breach and what-not, it also could have had a faster movement speed (seriously how the fuk does holding the mutator make u slower then the carbine or bullseye?!?!?!?), but besides that it's pretty good. also there r like 3 other patches u have to download; 1.02 (600MB), 1.03 (22MB), 1.04 (22MB) & 1.05 which is like 450MB but has 2 new maps
@YoungMite213 Halo is over rated garbage, filled with some of the worst gameplay options I have ever seen. At least this game sticks to a few old favorites of mine like health packs and a gun inventory. Also why are you hear discussing this and not on a Halo video?
recently bought Resistance 3 for my PS3 and was looking forward to playing it. When I started playing the game, the 1st thing I noticed was how bad the graphics were. I'm playing the game on my 1080p HDTV. I was very disappointed that in this crap graphics had gotten so bad. Up close the chimera look like low resolution PS2 graphics. The 1st game looked MUCH better and the chimera looked much more impressive with their big teeth. It seems like Insomniac got lazy in the graphics.
@helghan666 Hahahaa, the graphics are great for a console game. Of course it doesn't look as good as Killzone 3 or Battlefield 3 but compare it with titles like CoD and Medal of Honor and it is much better looking!

Modern shooters are sh*t. They are ruined by realism. They were way better when you could carry 10 weapons at once and there were weapons just to have fun with, when health didn't regenerate and you had to find health packs instead, and when you didn't have to take cover by attaching to a wall. resistance 3 understands that and doesn't have any realism bullsh*t and it' so good that even yahtzee from zero punctuation likes it.

@StreetInsurgent infact- they r aliens. the ones we fight in resistance r by aliens infected humans- they r xenomorphs. from the story: chimera fought another race in a war in which their home planet was destroyed, after that they found home on earth, and because of some unknown reasons they later abandoned it desperately and others gone extinct. it's unknown and untold what made them leave earth, and it's also unknown why they came back and used a meteor for spreading the virus.
@DannizTommoJr i'll try to keep it short and explain some key points- both games are fps with sci-fi elements. the difference between them is- that kz is set in the future outside planet earth, and resistance takes place in a alternative past. while in kz you fight humanoid enemies- helghast, in resistance enemies are- army chimera, feral chimera, the cloven, psychopathic cannibal human, and there is also the pure chimera commanding the other, and a mysterious unknown alien race.
@REMagnum500 Ur right brother! R3 is a great game! It just revolves around its prefect story. Best game for me this year! I have been a Resistance fan from the begining. What u said was right they do not know what the story is about.
@Kingleonidas96 yeah, resistance is cool. 1st one was somehow lacking atmosphere. second one was totally awesome and the same with resistance 3. r3 was by far the best game this year, also crysis 2 and kz3. i heard it was the last resistance game made by insomniac, and that the next sequels will be most likely made by a different company- we'll see.
@REMagnum500 They are saying Insomniac games will not being developing R4 because now they are a private company till R3 they were acuired by SCE since now they are developing Overstrike a multiplatform game. There is now lesser chances that there will be any ps exclusive from Insomniac Games.
@Kingleonidas96 i know they are on their own now. they partnered with EA. insomniac was always an independent company, but they collaborated with SCE that invested in their development and published their games exclusively for the ps brand. i'm not concerned that they wont make any ps exclusives anymore. the way i know the policies of EA- they won't leave out the ps3 since they r basically palls with Sony. hopefully insomniac will do good in the future.
@noshi49 for me it wasn't that short. my neighbor said it's very short, and when i played it, i was waiting for the end after every small bit i got threw, and it turned out to be a bit longer than i expected after hearing his opinion. but for their last resistance game i hoped it would be at least like r1 in lenght or more. story was great- no doubts.

Finished the campaign, liked it as long it last, but its 2 damn short!!!! ITS 2 DAMN SHORT!! FUCK!!! I think i read somewhere that the campaign was longer then in R1 & R2. Well, its not. I was totally surprised when the campaign ended, i think i was halfway, but no, it was over. I still have 2 check the multiplayer, but c'mon, splitscreen online, but no splitscreen offline, WTF!!! @chrome289 well, the campaign is 2 short, so that splitscreen campaign also dont last long. I wanna play multiplayer splitscreen, that gives the game longtherm value. The engine is there cos of the splitscreen multiplayer online, but why no possibilities for offline splitscreen bot matches?? I think they did that on purpose, 2 force us online. It fuckin pisses me off.

i just finished the story & i like it better then r2 but the multiplayer has some lag problems. i feel like they put more time in the story then multiplayer the graphics on multiplayer dont look as good as the story, but i still like it.

@kelpie555 if u dont already have resistance 3 i suggest you get it the single player campaign is amazing, best single player campaign for a first person shooter ive ever played. u know how most games u start and its ok then u get to a point in the game where u want to hurry up and get through it shoot kill next level shoot kill next level etc well this is not like that so many different things happen in this that will leave u speechless definately a must buy, multiplayer is also fun :)
theres a new 22mb v1.03 patch which was ment to fix lag and frame rate probs etc whats worse now it that in team deathmatch the score is now limited to 5k points and each round is lastin like 3mins god dammit they just made the game worse, hardly any 1 gets over 12 kills per game and around 5 of the 8 players in each team barely gets above 8 kills due to not enuf time any 1 else having the same issue?? 10mins was good game length each side..
I want this, but I'm not willing to pay $59 for this. I'm going to wait for Modern Warfare 3 and buy that for $49. Hell, R3'll cost $59 even when MW3 is out. :/
So... Insomniac Games aint gonna do Resistance 4, but instead they're getting a different games developer to do it for them, my guess is they might get Nihilistic Software (Resistance Burning Skies) or maybe even SCE Bend Studio (Resistance Retribution) or maybe both of them, I hope one of them make Resistance 4 really good! :D
Some phenomenal eye candy & sumptuous surround sound FX and genuinely scary HL2 'Ravenholm' moments but no epic firefights like in the 2 previous games. Also, the single player campaign is way too short but overall I'd rate this game 90%.
Insomniac (the original creators of this franchise) better make the next canon sequel to this game or I'M GOING TO GET FUCKING MAD!!! They better not sell this to another developer like the rumors suggest they will I don't want them to make the same mistake they made with Spyro the dragon. They don't need to sell their franchises or what's the point of making them?

recently bought Resistance 3 for my PS3 and was looking forward to playing it. When I started playing the game, the 1st thing I noticed was how bad the graphics were. Finished the campaign, liked it as long it last, but its 2 damn short!!!! ITS 2 DAMN SHORT!! FUCK!!! I think i read somewhere that the campaign was longer then in R1 & R2. Well, its not. I was totally surprised when the campaign ended, i think i was halfway, but no, it was over. I still have 2 check the multiplayer, but c'mon, splitscreen online, but no splitscreen offline, WTF!!! Insomniac, are u just fucking with us or what? I feel unsatisfied, i expect a lot more. R:FOM FTW!!

@chrome289 well, the campaign is 2 short, so that splitscreen campaign also dont last long. I wanna play multiplayer splitscreen, that gives the game longtherm value. The engine is there cos of the splitscreen multiplayer online, but why no possibilities for offline splitscreen bot matches?? I think they did that on purpose, 2 force us online. It fuckin pisses me off.

@TheWrtos I played both of em and have to say, i had a lot more fun with Resistance 3 personally. And no, you can't jugde a game by looking at some early E3 footage. Resistance 3 is nothing like this.

i just finished the story & i like it better then r2 but the multiplayer has some lag problems. i feel like they put more time in the story then multiplayer the graphics on multiplayer dont look as good as the story, but i still like it.

@kelpie555 if u dont already have resistance 3 i suggest you get it the single player campaign is amazing, best single player campaign for a first person shooter ive ever played. u know how most games u start and its ok then u get to a point in the game where u want to hurry up and get through it shoot kill next level shoot kill next level etc well this is not like that so many different things happen in this that will leave u speechless definately a must buy, multiplayer is also fun :)

theres a new 22mb v1.03 patch which was ment to fix lag and frame rate probs etc whats worse now it that in team deathmatch the score is now limited to 5k points and each round is lastin like 3mins god dammit they just made the game worse, hardly any 1 gets over 12 kills per game and around 5 of the 8 players in each team barely gets above 8 kills due to not enuf time any 1 else having the same issue?? 10mins was good game length each side..

So... Insomniac Games aint gonna do Resistance 4, but instead they're getting a different games developer to do it for them, my guess is they might get Nihilistic Software (Resistance Burning Skies) or maybe even SCE Bend Studio (Resistance Retribution) or maybe both of them, I hope one of them make Resistance 4 really good! :D

Some phenomenal eye candy & sumptuous surround sound FX and genuinely scary HL2 'Ravenholm' moments but no epic firefights like in the 2 previous games. Also, the single player campaign is way too short but overall I'd rate this game 90%.
