Nope, Vista Ca has a short street, not long about 1/8 mile with more than 33% grade. Used to bike up it with a 10 speed in 5th gear and tried in 10th, no luck. But I had to usually zig zag my way up it. The car would slow down noticeably. This guy must be a puss. Like most of you liberal pussies. You work out, I simply work. And muscles form. Cause you fat assed fucking liberals are all little punk asses. Heheheheha. Yeah! I 'm hearin' the comments. Yeah, I just made it up, yeah, okay.SURE.
I went up a very steep street in San Diego, but I can't remember where it is. It is up behind the Saw Dust Festival, and goes up to a ridge. I think it's steeper than Fargo. Anyone know the hill I'm talking about?
@genx1973 Yup. you're absolutely right. On Thomas St. just north of Broadway. I lived on Thomas and went to Lincoln H.S. I was so afraid of that steep hill that when I was little I would not walk it up without my dad going with me. And no way in hell would i drive a vehicle up or down it. Imagine if your car broke down and the parking brake wouldn't work while on it? Would be the stuff of nightmares believe me.
Yup i was about to return a mustang because the deal didnt go thru so i asked my girlfriend if you want to drive up that hill before i return it to the deal and she said yes so i drove up that hill and it felt like the car was going to flip upside down while i was going up that hill. I think that will be the last time i will attempt to drive up that darn hill.
@genx1973 LoL , yeah. ah Lincoln Heights.... what has become of it. I lived on Thomas St. 2 blocks south of Gates Street School from 1973 when I was 1 year old and lived there until 1998, when I moved out of state. The neighborhood has changed and not for the better. I missed the way it was when I was a kid in the 70's and early 80's before it rapidly deteriorated.
Actually Tim, in your info for the vid, you're wrong SF actually DOES have the steepest street in the country, tied with Pittsburgh's Canton Street. The name of the street in SF is Prentiss.
Everyone cites Filbert as being the steepest in SF, but it's not. And both Prentiss and Canton are steeper than the self-proclaimed 'Steepest Street in the World', Baldwin Street in New Zealand.
Btw, in the vid, you also confuse % grade with degrees in a couple of places. '33.3 degrees' would be 55% grade
I am very happy that these streets were not on my paper routes over the years that I was a paperboy--1964-1971. I thought that Lilac Lane and Luton Drive in Glendale, California were the worst streets for steepness. When I see steep streets I remember delivering the Glendale Ledger.
Do you have a smart, creative, loving child who is also cranky, inattentive, and sometimes downright obnoxious? Does your child have a taste for soda, sugary breakfast cereal, and treats like candy and cookies?
Your child may be a sugar addict. It is not your fault, IT IS BIOCHEMICAL. Check these spiders on sugar and see what I mean.

LA & other may claim to be steeper, but I think SF is the scariest b/c of high traffic and peds very challenge driving especially if a stick shift.

Micheltorena St. in the Silverlake area of LA is fairly steep....wonder what the grade there is.
