well, the way i did was to just start getting the trade paperbacks in order. but they don't actually move chronologically and there are quite a few flashbacks. still Seed of Destruction is the official starting point. but really, something kind of fun about Hellboy is you can start almost anywhere because of the non linear storytelling. i really enjoy the fourth arc, The Conqueror Worm.

Are you big on green lantern and hulk as well? Green hornet/green arrow maybe too.

wow, that's quite the Green theme. No, not so much. I'm much more Marvel than DC to start and while i like Hulk i don't really have much stuff where he is the main focus. And i actually really dislike Green Lantern - never could take him seriously. I think Green Arrow is pretty cool but I'll admit I don't know a lot about him. thanks for watching.

Holding back little snippets like that alien thing you mentioned is so anime, haha. Still, now that a lot of Hellboy is out, I can see myself reading it sometime.

I still haven't seen the second film, actually. I heard it was pretty good.

while quite different from the comics, Hellboy 2 The Golden Army is a very good movie. nice use of practical effects and very fun. the animated movies are pretty cool too, actually.
