Some people can lose inches with this special K challenge. I am 236 pounds and me and my fiance are going to start this to. But we are going with the Special K whole weat cereal. We are not going to do the bars we are going with the natural bars the green package bars. They are the granola bars.
Question if I were to do the special k challenge but only eat the cereal and instead of the bars and other products I just eat fruit and water would that be healthier than eating the bars.
@bluedonutcentral I would recommend veggies and meats instead of fruit because of the fact that there's already plenty of sugar in the cereals. But yes, I would recommend whole food replacements of the bars as a healthier option. Good luck!
Question, I'm fairly sure you didn't include any nutrients? Isn't that also a factor? Carbohydrates are energy, correct? So why are they bad for you? I understand an excess of Carbs is unhealthy, but going off of what you said, approx. 450 calories of carbs a day is easily shredded?
@brandonformanes Great question! Nutrients are a factor, but I only had 10 minutes of video time :) Hitting nutrient requirements on any sub-1000 calorie diet is going to be challenging, fortified or not. A multi will help, but eating whole foods with natural fat would help more. Sugars can do some damage before they're "burned." Not all sugars are alike (fructose especially - advanced glycation end products). High carb % leaves no room for healthy pro + fat on a low calorie plan.
