private schools aren't funded by the government. so obviously tuition is an issue, but also they have to offer amnenities that public schools can't provide to attract "customers" which cost extra money that some parents are willing to pay for. also, same thing goes for churches. alot of small chapels just offer mass and ask for small donations just to pay the bills. when a church becomes larger and involves a larger community, alot of times many programs and projects spawn - which cost money

private schools aren't funded by the government. so obviously tuition is an issue, but also they have to offer amnenities that public schools can't provide to attract "customers" which cost extra money that some parents are willing to pay for. also, same thing goes for churches. alot of small chapels just offer mass and ask for small donations just to pay the bills. when a church becomes larger and involves a larger community, alot of times many programs and projects spawn - which cost money

The catholic church is independent of the catholic private schools. Schools do not make money, they spend it on the education of the children who share the faith. Catholic mass? yes, we give them money, so the church can pay its bills, so the priest has money to buy food, pay his rent, and drive his car to the see the sick. The massive rich buildings? well, theyre landmarks, and its important to maintain them to show human skill and greatness of the past.

Understand that some of the more global problems are being addressed. This is a grassroots campaign that snowballed after being utterly appalled by the increasing depths of depravity of Co$, which has NOT been addressed enough. Whereas wars and government corruption are taken very seriously, most had seen Scientology's orgs as either a joke or an odd "religion" instead of its insidious truth. But have to disagree with the idea that ALL problems within the Catholic Church were resolved a long time ago...There is the whole cover-up of child molestation that still hasn't REALLY been dealt with in an honest and open manner. But other than that i agree with the premise of the vid. The Catholic Church is not a cult and is not a target of the Anti-$cifag movement evidenced by the fact that we won't be picketing Catholic Churches on the 15th.

The child molestation issues, although abhorrent, the Catholic church cannot be held responsible for the actions of its less reputable members - because its founding tenets oppose that behaviour and it is not encouraged. Although it can be held responsible for ensuring that those individuals do not become members in the first place.
By contrast, the policies and tenets of the Co$ actively encourage certain crimes and harrassments - for which many submit the Co$ CAN be held responsible for.

The reason your group won't attack the Church is because you do not have to be anonymous to attack the Church.
The Church of the Middle Ages is the same as the Church of today. The difference that you see however, is that today the Church is not in power so there is no authority to abuse.
I believe the Church should retain its old authority but hopefully it has learned from its past abuses.

3: a religion regarded as unorthodox or spurious
