  • This movie scared me to death when I was a kid LOL!!!!

  • weird :/

  • That tree monster looks even more wooden than Tommy Lee Jones!!

  • That tree monster looks even more wooden than Tommy Lee Jones!

  • @TimelordR heardyou the first time

  • Saw this classic movie when I was a little kid! I always thought that the tree monster (Tabonga) had a face that looked like Lee Marvin. There IS a resemblance! It does look like the late Lee Marvin!

  • Behold the Logging Industry's worst nightmare: a tree possessed by the evil dead, quick call Ash and his Chainsaw hand before it's too late

  • Oh man that's too good. I could swear I saw a movie like this...Polynesian Island with a tree looking monster...but it started with a "T"...Ill have to look it up. Thanks for this..very cool!

  • @mrcinemajunky It was from this movie. The name of the tree monster was Tobanga (spelling?).

  • Cryptozoology novel see video book trailer

  • Get some weedkiller STAT!

  • And from this film came the classic review "...and to Hell it can go!"

  • If there's any film that Hollywood should remake, it should be a film that is old, unheard of and terrible to an unbearable degree. Can you guess what movie I'm thinking about?

  • This is Hilarious! I remember seeing this when I was about 7 yrs old.

  • Oh no! Here comes a Tree Monster! Quick, grab the CHAINSAW!

The battle won't be a pretty sight. The guy with the Black & Decker gasoline powered CHAINSAW will cut that thing to pieces! JOY!

  • Loved it when I was a kid.

  • does anyone have a full copy

  • @ 0:56 is that the tree penis... the tree actually had a wood

  • Good stuff!

  • it takes a real sissy lady to be kidnapped by a tree :) i love these movies i wish i could watch this one

  • this is the kind of stuff I'd see on saturdays at the local theater. These were films just for us young kids. Our parents would drop us off and pick us up later.

I grew up in the 50's and 60's.

  • @whiskeyify

Yeah I was 5 in 1957, remember seeing this and being scared. 50's horror/scifi was great stuff.

  • this is what I intend to do if some wrongs me...I'll come back as a monster tree and get even with them !!

  • If hate and horror gave it life, try love and carebears to bring it death

  • wow, I often think about this one but could not remember the title.

I think the title should have been "the tree stump from hell".

  • watched it on chiller theater wpix wow

  • Tree monster? I wonder if such a creature ever opened up a BRANCH office. This is not the kind of movie I'd go out on a LIMB to watch. I think I read that this horrible creature was really a dogwood tree...supposedly they could tell from the BARK. They just dont' make 'em like this anymore. Is that good or bad? One must search their heart to know. Perhaps it's just an unsolvable mystery....such as are there really rings around Uranus?

  • He was actually called the "tubunga" by the natives.

  • I remember what the critics said abut this film: "From Hell it Came?? I say, to hell it can go!"

  • I would say this is the "Citizen Kane" of killer tree movies, but I was a bigger fan of "Navy vs. the Night Monsters". That one had killer stumps plus Mame Van Doren

  • It's so cute!
