This way, the cervical area being worked is stretched, therefore, the tsubos must be more difficult to treat. Also, the master seems to apply pressure with a broad thumb-pad, which probably makes the contact less specifical. I have studied a modern shiatsu style, I teach and practice at a massage table, quite different from your style.
