  • My step-son has SOD also. If your little girl ever needs a feeding tube again please ask about the G-tube, otherwise known as a Mickey-Button. I believe it will work much better for her. Its very easy to work with, and I'm sure it will be much more comfortable for her. Although, it will require surgery to place the button in her stomach. But the recovery was very quick and easy for my step-son. He had the surgery 6/12/09. Best Wishes to you and that sweet little girl of yours!

  • Hi! My daughter also has SOD. We live in Argentina and we have also heard about the stem cell therapy. Valentina is 6 years now and she is blind.

  • My daughter also has septo optic sysplisia. watching your little gitl put a smile on my face the same as my daughter does. I am very interested in this cure in china. my daughter is also blind and i would do anything and spend any amount of money to give her the chance to see the world around her.

  • hi, i have speto otic dysplasia... but I've got excellent close up vision. I'm 35 though so I've dealt with that for a long time. As long as you stand beside her and support her she can and will do anything she wants. :))

    btw I have (spelling not sure) nystagmus which is when your eyes bounce around, but they don't do it as much as they used too, and my left eye is completely blind. Take care.

  • wow has she grown!! she's got lots of hair now!! she looks just wonderful - i am sorry to hear that you and her dad aren't together anymore - its hard raising a disabled child with two parents around, much less one - are there any fundraisers going for her to help raise the money? is here story posted in the paper? on the news? its amazing how contributions can come from those sources. Keep us updated.
