  • Your jaguar ate a convict? damn, I thought those guys are good fighters. My only one loves to pick on my Parrots, and my 3 Oscars.

  • @1Rockyboxer1 The jag went through an eating everything phase, then 3 months later wouldnt even look at feeders... i have a breeding pair of convicts now that turn away anything that comes close including a large female oscar that could def eat the female con, they truely are tough little sobs

  • Beautiful tank

  • @Mr69Squishy thank you

  • Wow! Love how you made the community work with all those brutes in there! I'm convinced all I need is a 125-135 gallon now. Keep it up! It's a very lively tank!

  • @elguapotetigre thank you, but as they say learn from others... while nothing really "went wrong" in this tank, id HIGHLY recommend a tank twice this size now for this type of set up, and even with the 2 huge canister filters and air stones, id also say make sure you have some power heads for increased oxygen, as some previous jerks here pointed out, however it made a difference when they were added... not to mention i was changing water every week, where theres a will theres a way good luck!

  • The larger cichlids take more oxygen, due to their size,if you get 2 powerheads running on both sides of your tank, you be surprise the difference it makes compared to airstones and a bubbler for oxygen. keep the airstones though, just in case the powerheads break in the near future. I met 1 guy who doesnt use heaters at all,so you are good on that part.

  • Carpintis would be a Green Texas basically, for a much lighter grey color Texas, that would be cyanoguttatus as they would say its a true Texas.By the way,you need more oxygen, best way to get alot of oxygen is getting a powerhead.

  • @burzumaske20 should the powerhead break the surface in anyway? while i do not have this current setup anymore i do have a heavily stocked 125 mixed with africans and americans, however it IS a planted tank (gasp i know..) and the plants have stayed rooted and flourished, im sure due to the heavy nitrates despite the 2 week water changes, the chemistry all checks out and none of the fish appear stressed, i do notice the larger cichlids appear to always "breathe heavy"

  • @burzumaske20 i also have a 4' bubble curtain in there as well. the filtration is still 2 rena xp4s with the returns as a single large opening instead of the spraybar. i have tried to post the new tank but this stupid aircard i have now doesnt support that transfer. what makes you say there is a need for more oxygen, so i have a better understanding.. and even without heaters the temps here make the water stay around 80, but ill be damned if im buying a chiller for freshwater here..

  • cool tank!

  • @knglee3rd thank you!

  • look's like you need lot's more oxygen in that tank

  • @321windowss ? and why is that?

  • @xhawkusmc

They are Gasping for Oxygen Look at them

  • what is the fish at 1:04? nice tank btw. Your fish are in great condition for having that much aggression in a small area

  • @zadoraboy14 its supposed to be a "texas cichlid" people have called it like a hundred different names here though... something like carpinis sticks out though...

  • @zadoraboy14 well usually when they mouth move like that they need need more oxygen, i remember that the colder the water the more oxygen in the tank, and when i turn my heater to 80 degrees my fish was doing the same thing in till i got a bubble wall.

  • yea awesome tank man id b careful about feeding them the goldfish i know its fn sweet and everything but they are such dirty lii fucks that ur fish can and will get sick and shit from eating em

  • gorgeous tank man wish i could do something like this but my tanks too small and has too many fish i cant get rid of :/

  • Wow! Your tank has really changed. I like it! I see you picked up a big jaguar. Nice stock list!

  • @Batboi3000 thanks man! as soon as i get something better than this stupid verizon aircard ill post more vids, its changed again! and sadly for the worse... we had a lot of casulties during the move... later man!

  • coool man im looking i n to some jacks what ya think , i heard they are pretty agressive fish.

Any way i recently got a 235+gallon tank what ya think?

  • @AweSomo84 personally, if you have a 235, id go for something larger than jacks even... you could get a little mini oscar colony going with the right filtration... like 6 oscars... that would be a really cool use of the space in my opinion, sides oscars are everywhere, get 3 albino, 3 tiger varients... and see what all comes from it. i recently scored 2 silver tiger oscars, but this new turtle i have ate one.. hes an asshole..

  • @xhawkusmc Hey man,

Thats the point man here in the netherlands its very hard VERY VERy hard to get oscars :s. But thanks for the cool massage and idea's.

I got now 2 filters on my tank the 2217 of eheim they hold 6 liters of filter material (12liters together) and do 1000 liters a hour (2000 with each other)

I have a new video put up of the tank with my new backwall i would love to hear your comment on it .

    Here is the link watch?v=CINI2_XW8eM

    Peace,

    Erik

  • @xhawkusmc ooh and rip to your lose that sucks :S

  • sweet vids man. im freakin suprised that I still keep reading your long ass descriptions before watching the vid.lol. its all good. dope tank man! what kind of filtration you got on this?

  • @superstarboi in this vid it was one xp4 and one of those double cartridge hang on type filters, now since the move, i have TWO xp4s and the double cartridge rockin the bitch.. as well as a bubble curtain.

  • @xhawkusmc dope. I am planning on buying a canister for my 75 gallon. any suggestions? I heard eheims are the shit so far.

  • @superstarboi i am so sorry if i didnt respond to this, this internet sucks... i like renas for user friendliness and yes eheims are great

  • I'm amazed at the fact the feeder fish get time to roam in the tank with all these fish as if they were cool lol everything that hits the water in my tank dies in a matter of seconds. I have an Oscar a Jag and a Jack Dempsey. My Oscar is the boss, no one messes with him, But yeah awesome tank and fish

  • @dreamerguy91 thanks bro

  • Great tank, did all these fish grow up together.

  • @000nuke actually no, the jag was brought in full grown, and is the only one to bully the other large cichlids around, all of them remained peaceful with the gouramis and smaller fish though, this tank has since been updated with some newer additions... you should check em out.

  • love the big fish. check out my 125

  • @jade810ezra thank you, ill head over there now

  • Awesome set up.....your jag is HUGE,,,,,,great work

  • @vagasduke thank you! she's a biggen! and she eats on average 15 - 20 small feeder golds as soon as the lights click off.

  • Amazing .. how you get your fish to bark like that.. lol

  • @PSHMP years of training! and fish shaped dog treats! lol

  • i love your long descriptions. its funny but good stuff.

  • @superstarboi thanks pal, how are your tanks doing?

  • @xhawkusmc I havent seen my 75 gall for a while. Been busy with school. but it seems to be doing good.
