  • @tiranodog then dont call me a fake ass fanatic wen uve never met me or u dont know anything about me personally

  • @laithlaith91 piss off you fake ass fanatic.the instruments rock and the singer still sucks!!!

  • alr8 noob, enjoy lsning to ur shittyass metal and forget bout manilla road,u dont deserve to listen to them

  • @laithlaith91 ''u dont deserve to listen to them'' now you confirm once more that youre a fake ass fanatic.

  • @tiranodog alr8 loser im a fakeass fanatic , just bcoz i like a band doesnt make me a "fanatic" retard, i love hundreds of bands and i dont even have a favorite i love Lucifer's friend,Budgie,Deep Purple,Uriah Heep,Mercyful Fate,Judas Priest,Exhorder,Heathen,Torture,Gammacide,Hobbs' Angel Of Death,Vicious Rumors, etc. and the list goes on..so plz define to me what the hell you mean by fake ass fanatic? im not absolutely inlove with Manilla Road and i dont worship them, so clarify wat u mean idiot

  • @laithlaith91 well are you posing now or something with all those bands?i cant see the reason why you refer to them but anyway lets go on with the clarification of the ''You fake ass fanatic''.i post something i believe and sudenly you start telling me what not to say and what i dont ''deserve'' to listen if thats not a fanatics action then im a polar bears granny.also i think everyone knows what a fanatic is except fanatics themselfs you fake ass fanatic kanuck piece of turd

  • @tiranodog a fanatic is sum1 that is absolutely obsessed with a band, im not obsessed with any of these bands im just giving u an example of wat i lsn to jst to show u i dont stick to 1 band like other fanatics, anyways, this is getting childish,i can see watever im gna tell u isnt gna get through to ur thick head,so have a good day

  • @laithlaith91 LOL anyway a fanatic is not someone obsesed with one band, is someone who will shout against everything thats against his ''apetite'' also you say something about telling me something.the only things you told me so far are what i must not post, what i dont deserve to listen and keep asking me why youre a fanatic.i would like to hear the real something you wanted to tell me but my thick head wont take it

  • the real something i wanted to tell u was if u didnt like the vocals then u shudve just pissed off,but this turned into sumthing else, and just for the record,i dont giv that much of a shit about manilla road, and i think their vocals rock, thers very few ppl that can pull off that kind of vibrato

  • @tiranodog and u obviously dont know wat a fanatic is..fanatics obsess over sumthing, and im nt southing against everything thats against my "appetite" think wat u want, all i was saying was if u dont like the vocals, wy bother commenting? keep ur opinion to ur own fucking self

  • @laithlaith91 well i dont want to keep my opinion for me fucking self cause if theres someone out there whos not acting like a fascist pig will correct me and will RESPECT my opinion wrong or wright as it is

  • @tiranodog alr8 weaner, have a good day

  • @laithlaith91 yeah yeah top o' the mornin to ya

  • this is so awesome, manilla road for ever

  • One word: Epic

  • First of all I love Manilla Road, it's one of my all-time favorite bands.

Now, some peeps say that it's bad that Manilla Road are underrated. I say it's not bad at all! Being kind of "underground" for 30 years only helped them make great music. If they were to become rich and famous they would have probably chosen a different music direction. This is part of what makes Manilla Road a great band. Any1 who appreciates heavy metal, appreciates Manilla Road.

And, Manilla Road is just an example...

  • @a8anasios666 Maybe you're right..They could risk becoming like Merdallica ...

  • @ImpendingDoom01 whats wrong with metallica i saw them live last year and they where great

  • @Edge620 I do not argue their skills as musicians, nothing to contest the matter. I'm sure it was a great show ... if they played the songs of their early albums.

  • @ImpendingDoom01

lars ulrich is an horrible drummer and brings the rest of the band down.

  • @ImpendingDoom01 LOL MERDALLICA

  • @ImpendingDoom01 Well at least METALLICA has a real singer and not a half-girl singer. Who agrees!

  • @DownhatGym Wow! What a shock! With this nonsense you've managed in extremis to win the prize "Incompetent of the year" for 2010!

  • @ImpendingDoom01 Thankyou now go and listen to the classic biebers.

  • @ImpendingDoom01 i saw them live a few weeks ago. they played mostly songs from mop. great gig :D

  • Comment removed

  • @ImpendingDoom01 Lol "Merdallica" are you French or Spanish or Italian or Portugese by any chance ?

  • @Slickdown Italian ... but starting from "merd ..." then French, Spanish or Portuguese would not make much difference! XD

  • @a8anasios666 Another Greek metalhead with fine taste! I salute you!

  • @IgorGiganskiANtiatom /,,/ /,,/

  • @a8anasios666 I agree and disagree.........I'd like to think money wouldn't taint the "process" of music, but then again I may be being overly opimistic...which is very weird for me...maybe you're right

  • @Barnabus007 Money tainted the whole world mate... I'm not right, it's just my point of view.

    cheers

  • @a8anasios666 agreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee (stupid comment i know)

  • @a8anasios666 WELL SAID!

  • 1:25 reminds me of ozzy

  • Virgin Steele, Manilla Road....

  • true heavy metal

  • Excellent!! They should have been way bigger!! It is a pity they never got the attention they deserved. Nevermind, let the few realize the majesty of M.R. HAIL!!

  • Classic!

  • so damn good..

  • I agree with Iron !

  • so great song and so underrated band

i thinka that this albums is much better than some albums that have been more succesful such as Metallica's load-reload-st.anger-death magnetic and many more.

it's nice to see the succes of Manowar though, they are the leaders of epic with Manilla road and Crystal logic with Into glory ride are the best epic metal albums and 2 of the best metal albums ever

  • I just can't add anything, I totally agree with you!

  • I love Manilla Road but I can barely stomach Manowar

With lyrics that often go like.

"Bring me my horse and SWORD and we will ride out to fight the horde's of those who play false metal! and you shall tell my family how I DIED and I will be strong and have POWER!(and rape women)" Stuff sung in a very dramatic manner with balladic backing followed by a completely mindless solo with alot of redundant notes.

Atleast Manilla Road's lyrics means well.

    And their solos have heart!

  • Manowar isn't about killing posers and raping women, they're about self empowerment. The point is the empowering feel of the metal; the message being sent is "you're a badass, you kill fools with a sword and abuse their women but you also have honor and the courage to stand when others fall." They're not out to create poetry, just to make you feel like you can take on the world. That's my interpretation as a Manowarrior, anyway, but whatever. Hail Manilla Road!

  • @stupidguyx

Well self empowerement is more what I get from Manilla Road.

They have lyrics like "Heavy metal is life and not eternal hell" and "Magic is born upon your soul".

Their souls burn for heavy metal but they still come off as more humble and life affirming.

  • @PennyDreadful1

Hah, I can agree with that. "Humble" doesn't factor anywhere into Manowar.

  • @ironmetalhead21 i wouldn't say that manowar songs have anything to do with music. Just chords put one after each other. Few songs of them deserve to be listened. Compared to this stuff they are nothing...

  • @corhoc hell no dude, Manilla Road is badass but Manowar just has that total epic sound that no one else does, it's just pure power!

  • @morbidgod But Manilla Road are the better band IMO. Early Manowar is very good, but a lot of their later stuff is self parody and goofy, while Manilla Road never went down that road. Nor did they take a good amount of music out of their show to talk to the audience about pointless things.

  • @Whackooyzero Oh yeah??? lke what... girls with them??? who cares...

  • @morbidgod Their music has become sub par recently and they spend more time on frivolous things(contests, rerecording old albums, releasing many live DVD's that are painstakingly similar to each other, recording one song in multiple languages) and now they threw out all of their previously written material that was supposed to be released last year and are now starting completely from scratch. This annoys me and I think it annoys every fan.

Manilla Road, however, are still good.

  • @Whackooyzero Yeah ok i guess you bring up some good points... but what's bad about doing the songs in different languages? Their just doing that for all the fans.

  • @morbidgod It would be fine if they released albums regularly every 2 or 3 years, but since they don't they haven't earned the ability to do all these extra things. They are a good band as a unit and they still play good, but it's been a while since they've made a great album to me. Hopefully they can change my mind with the next one but I'll reserve my judgment until it comes out.

  • @Whackooyzero Yes, compared to their early great albums like The triumph of Steel, it doesn't really have that same feeling and power in their newer recordings.

  • @ironmetalhead21 Ok I can agree but Death Magnetic was pretty good. Songs like The Judas Kiss and All Nightmare Long were very good!

  • Fuck I love Manilla road

  • MANILLA FUCKING ROOOOAADDD

  • Straight from the pages of Heavy Metal magazine!

  • la vanda es muy bujena ke chinva

  • OH MY GOD. A METAL GROUP WITH A REAL SINGER. Seriously, I'm impressed! All these metal groups now have these people that either scream or have a high-pitched, annoying voice. This guy actually sings like "classic rock" singers did, and he's actually GOOD. Too bad I can't find their albums ANYWHERE.

  • thats why i mostly listen to 80s music, most metal singers nowadays dont even sing they either just growl, scream, or grunt,...which really fucking annoys me.

  • Yeah, I completely agree. My collection mainly consists of classic rock and metal, so I'm used to people who can sing. I only own 2 albums from recent times: one from 1997 (Unleash the Beast by Saxon) and one from 2008 (The Devil You Know by Heaven & Hell). All my other albums are either compilations of older bands or pre-1990 albums. Almost 100% of stuff from 1990 on is garbage with few exceptions. (One such exception would be an old band making a new album, and even those sometimes suck.)

  • there maybe one modern metal band that u may like. Gates of Slumber, they take the best parts of Rainbow/Dio, Black Sabbath, Saint Vitus and the NWOBHM and mix it up together.

  • I second this.

  • not true, besides this singer, although i love his voice, has an annoying voice by "normal" standards. And growling or grunting is part of vocal techniques, and there is nothing wrong with it. And besides, plenty of 80s rock had screaching and high pitched sreams, eg Judas Priest.

  • Yeah but the high pitched screams were more like really high falsetto/headvoice notes most of the time.

    Melodic and tuneful.

  • Well there are quite many good metal singers... YOU HAVE SEARCHED FROM WRONG DIREKTIONS!

Haha going to see Manilla Road next weekend!!

  • Actually, this is the standard vocal style for classic heavy metal. Singers like Halford, Dio, Adams and Tate are the benchmark by which others are judged.

  • If you look more deeply into modern metal, you will find some excellent vocalists. The likes of Blind Guardian, Biomechanical, Opeth, Dream Theatre, Rhapsody of Fire, Funeral, Arcturus... Ok, these are reallyrandom examples but my mind is a bit blank. They all have gerat vocalists, that the point. Look up vocalists like Vortex(has worked in a lot of black metalish/ avant Garde projects), Rob Lowe (doom vocals), John K (biomechanical/balance of power), You just have to keep your eyes peeled.

  • Many of those are from the 80ies themself though, like Rob Lowe (whom I deeply admire) or Hansi Kürsch).

Going after great voices in nowadays metal, just check out Nils Patrik Johansson (Astral Doors, Lion's Share, Wuthering Heights), Sean Peck (Cage), Tomi Koivusaari (Amorphis), Cam Pipes (3 Inches Of Blood), Mikael Åkerfeldt from the already named Opeth, George Call (Omen, Aska), JB Christofferson (Grand Magus, Spiritual Beggars), Oscar Carlquist (RAM)...

  • true!

  • -_-

  • Top 5 of Everything in Metal!

  • Pure Epic Metal!!!

  • cool

  • indeed!

  • perfection!

  • manilla road heavy metal is life and we are immortal warriors of steel!!!!!!!!

  • Yay!!!

  • man, I need to find this album

  • I don't know how it is in USA but in Germany it's not so hard to find (the CD version).

  • I can not even find them on download services, they are not even listed on electronics stores websites. So I guess that you are lucky in Germany.

  • This was The first song I've heard by them. They're amazing!

  • This album is the Everest of Epic Heavy Metal

  • No, I'd say that would be 'From the Fjords' by Legend

  • amazing

  • what a band....!this album is top of the top...

first time i listened to it the same day i listened to more that once...great metal as noiseruption said

  • i live about an hour south of Manilla Road's home town and if they played a show i'd be there in a minute, i remember back in 1986 they had this metal radio show(T95 Wichita,Ks) that played alot of live boots of Manilla. Great metal.

  • What a luck, mate !
