I love this version. So authentic and the voice of the Priest reverberates with faith and truth. He's not just recording a song he is praying to our Blessed Mother!

I enjoy the choir singing accompanied by chanting. It is still tradtitional and the music is still pure because there isnt a musical instrument being used

I would rather listen to a horrible chanter (including me, since I'm not a good singer and I still go to chant) than a westernized orthodox church. It doesnt matter if the priest's vestments look Russian or Greek, he looks like a businessman, and he doesn't completely do his cross. In addition,these church choirs that started appearing over the last few years seem just like protestant and catholic choirs. isnt it amazing that we would throw away years of tradition to look good and sound good.

This choir is not even that great. They are all old grioules. Zorbas released a Akathist to the Mother of God that is just a male choir chanting. The way its chanted is traditional but the presentation I agree is for show and western.

You are quick to judge my friend. If you were present at Liturgy for cheese fair sunday (sunady of the last judgement) you would see St. Paul tells u we mustn't judge because that isnt our job. Everyone will be judged by his or her Master. Maybe the priest has back spasms? And btw, ths choir is beautiful and reflects the traditions of the early church when the monks would chant this hymn TOGETHER to let the sounds reverberate of the four walls of the Church.

Στα πρωτοχριστιανικά χρόνια έψαλλε σύσσωμο το εκκλησίασμα. Άρα να μη μας φαίνεται πως είναι και νεοτερισμός που ψάλλει χορωδία και μάλιστα από γυναίκες.

Μπορεί να είναι καλύτερες από τους κακόφωνους ψάλτες, όμως αυτή δεν είναι μια σύγκριση που στέκει. Όταν συγκρίνουμε, συγκρίνουμε όμοια. Και ο τρόπος του ψαλσίματος είναι ξένος προς το εκκλησιαστικό άκουσμα σε σύγκριση με μία αμιγώς βυζαντινή χορωδία! Τα σύκα-σύκα...
