These are scratch built planes.

He makes them out of Depron foam. The electronics he uses are interchangable, so when he makes a new plane he can use the old electronics.

The foam is not expensive and for the hinges of the control surfaces he uses packing tape...n thats not costing alot.

An SR-71 could exceed mach 4.5. The ultimate speed was never established, because no pilot would be crazy enough to fly that fast, and it's not like you could risk the airframe to find out as well. The engines were tested to speeds way, way beyond anything they ever did in the air.

You're very stupid. The "unclassified" top speed of the f-22 is "greater than mach 2.42" But, I've talked to fellow pilots that have seen the F-15 (with 229's) do mach 3. The F-22 is capable of Super Cruise. Which is, it cruises above the speed of sound without using afterburner. So, the f-22 is probably capable of mach 3.5 in afterburner. At the LEAST. Look up the Streak Eagle sometime.

F22 top speed at least mace 2.42 according to ex-test pilot or so it says on wikipedia. Certainly with its high thrust-to-weight ratio it should be mach 3 capable but steath and speed do not go together so well. I am English but from what is known I'd say the Eurofigther would not own the F22, it would probably come a close 2nd at a fraction of the cost though, but F22 is not built for export unlike the EFA.
