I need to learn about defend against Lob or Through pass over a player. When opposite player through a pass over my defender how can I defend this?

@RayhanNuman If you have 2 defenders available, send the CPU to mark the player with the ball and stay close to the player who can receive the lob pass. If you only have 1 defender available, DO NOT stay in the middle between the two players, because you'll get beaten 90% of the time. Commit to either marking the player who can receive the pass or going for the ball. I recommend marking the player who can receive the pass and waiting for your teammates to come back

@RayhanNuman A bit more on that last situation with only 1 defender. Stay with the player who can receive the pass and have your teammates rush back to pressure the player in possession. There will be a point when the opposing player who isn't in possession (the one you're marking) is no longer a threat, at that momento go back to pressuring the player in possession, but don't try to take the ball, just stay between him and the goal to slow him down. Your mates will do the rest.

@RayhanNuman Of couse, if the player in possession is a good shooter, you're in trouble anyway, and the only thing you can do until you get your teammates to come back is to trust your keeper. But 2 attackers against 1 defender is a f**ed-up situation anyway, so you can't expect to get away with it every time

it makes no difference at all what rating the finishing of your player is, take silver tournaments for example which are obviously vs 74- GKs all you have to do is tap shoot so lightly and the ball runs under the GK and goes in, every single time, with CBs and everything, its shit. but i do it. :)
