War in Iraq - Mad World

Iraq is part of the "War on Terror" so we are fighting terrorists and to better secure the world from an advanced terrorist organization such as Al Qaeda which also has a very rich leader from his Saudi Arabian family connections. We are also there to secure our interests such as but not limited to, oil. The media and Conservatives with extreme ideas inflate things and make it appear this is a war between Christianity and Islam. This makes the war seems worse then it is already.

The biggest thing to remember about this is that we were over there to fight terrorist and stamp them out of existence. We also were there to protect our interests in the Middle East. That being said... This is not a holy war... This is not a war based on christianity vs. islam... I wish people would see this more clearly. The media and ultra-conservatives are pushing this agenda of anti-muslim sentiment and its just plain wrong.

I always hear people talking about why we went there and when the idea of it being for something such as the countrys profit instead of simply freeing the iraqi people they get upset. That being said I think its our job there now to make life as stable and healthy as possible but we dont go around invading countries to free the people if theyre oppressed. Wed be everywhere.

I have 3 sons and a daughter in the Marines & Navy who have served in Iraq. None of these have been murdered in this useless war. But some of my friends have. Im tired of my children being put at risk because of ignorant, dumb-fucks who think that there is some higher power controlling the events of the world!! STOP!! Stop risking MY CHILDREN!! My father and mother are also serving in the Iraqi army, your sons are heroes, it doesn't matter whether the war in Iraq is justified or not, at least your sons are risking their lives for their country, for their beloved ones, for you and for me. If you want to blame it on someone, blame it on the leaders, not the soldiers. I hope they make it back home safely.
