  • HI IM A MESSianic jew AND IM LOOKING FOR A MESSIANIC JEWISH WIFE WHO IS STRICT IN JEWISH LAW AND IS WILLING TO WERE A TICHEL/MIPACHAT

  • This is such a good video, easy to see and understand how to do it perfectly! Todah!

  • you know if a girl decides she doesn't wanna do this hair superstition-tznius thing her family will FORCE her to comply.

this hair superstition is NOT Jewish at all..its a gentile hasidic thing.

whats scary is how hasids have their boys wear their hair in a way that makes them look female. thats scary ,sick and perverted.

  • I like the bun one!

  • Just a quick question, if I may. Do you/can you anchor the front portion of the tichel along the hairline, or perhaps in front of the ears with bobby pains to make it a bit more secure for very windy days?

  • Thanks. You made this enjoyable AND easy!

  • I love tichelim! (That would be the plural right?) I'm a very traditional Catholic, and so I cover my hair often during the day for Mass or any time I speak or sit down to think in a prayerful way. I can't tell you how much I've appreciated learning how to tie and wear scarves this way. I have a deep appreciation of feminine modesty in all faiths.

  • you go girl i am a black girl i consider you my sister i just love the way you do your head scarves i will be wearing them just like you..... thank you sooo much

  • Could someone well me what size scarf she is wearing?

  • Thank you for demonstrating these scarf ties. I have always loved scarves, but didn't know how to wear them, so I never bought any. Now I can! No more bad hair days!

  • I just started wearing these "this year" and I am addicted to them. People love them and ask me where I am from and where do I buy these from.

  • @CoverYourHaircom

Toda for the Ideas, just today i was shaving my hairs in the neck to make it shorter...and now i dont have longer a problem, but your Ideas are also very good...Thanks again

  • A Giten Tug,

I have a question and i hope that somebody can help me! I am a Married Woman, so i cover my Hair, the problem what i have when i wear a Tichel, is that you see my Hairs in the neck, what disturbing me very much....because so oftend i cant wearing a Tichel. and i really want to do this because i like Tichels...its would be nice when somebody can help me!

    A dank

  • @JewishWoman2307

There are a few choices not to show hair on you neck, 1) use a Pre Tied Bandana or a snoods that covers you lower on your neck

2)You can try wear the Tichel lower on your neck

  • @JewishWoman2307 get someone to cut and edge the wild hairs on your neck.

  • @JewishWoman2307 I use a hijab underscarf which is just a tube of material. It covers my hairline, the tops of my ears and sits lower on the neck. They're very inexpensive to order and also very easy to make.

  • nice...

     thank you!!!

  • You have the have the best explanation of how to the tichel. Wonderful, and I love the site too.

  • love it! i only caught two ways to tie, but thanks for posting! i love the coveryourhair website too :)

  • I would guess that the first tie before the "ribbon" is one of the styles, but I may be wrong. :-)

  • Very pretty =) I'm curious why do you cover you hair?

  • @xXxmuslimahxXx Shalom! In the Jewish tradition, women cover their hair after marriage because the Jewish concept of modesty (tznius--try pronouncing that tongue twister!) is about 'privacy'. While hair is considered 'ervah' (same as the Arabic word for 'nakedness') after marriage, it is mainly about keeping your sensuality for your husband alone. This is because the only mention of haircovering in the Torah is during the 'sotah' ritual (to test adultery), which only applies to married women.

  • This was great. Just what I was looking for.

  • very beautiful and super helpful!

    toda rabba!

  • Wonderful! Thanks for posting and making tichel tying look so easy!

  • very classy and simple..thanks,

  • What pretty ways to wear a scarf, thanks for posting! Another idea is to wrap another accent scarf around for a new look. :-)
