aldo it doesnt matter if he went pro at 21,Anyone that has been trained in boxing for a month or 2 would know how to do most of this stuff.

  • so dont do it, boxing ist for pussy's You're in Or you're out thats simple right?

  • PUSSY?!!!!!!!!!!Well, guess what.I tried some boxing, and then when I went to Tae Kwon Do,the boxing took over my stance!!!!Gotta try and avoid that...

  • If you weren't so far away,I'd knock your block off!!!!!I DO MORE THAN TAE KWON DO AND BOXING!!!!!!!!!!!SUPA MARSHIUL ARTS POWAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ah there we have it....Big mouth, but when the action comes along you're nothing but a pussycat

  • sry,bad habit of mine.and ur's is being a bitch!

Why do you spend you're time here on youtube, wile you can train you're boxing skills and prove me you're not just anoher computer nerd who's talking dirty on the internet

    SUCK ON THAT!!!

  • I do Tae kwon do,Zui quan, and internet fu lol:)

I actually take a lot of moves from martial arts, and use them when I need to(or just practice them, cuz nobody wants to pick on me T_T).I use the Muay thai elbow and knee attacks alot.

  • Why do my replies always appear in the wrong place?!!!!!!!!!!!!Or is it just me...?

  • Nope,just me.

  • How to prove it?Fine,I'd like to see your boxing skills. Why don't you make a video showing you doing boxing. Then,I'll see what you've got.

  • is a good idea!!

  • lol@MMA dickriders. MMA will never be as artful or as appreciated as Boxing.

  • mma sux

  • if u think u or mma fighters r so though y dont you get in to boxing and make more money.

  • anderson silva the best mma of all time has a losing boxing record so thats should give you an idea why

  • thank you so he cant have skills to box n cant stands on his feet 12 rounds all he can do is go to a cage for like 3 min n fight like an animal.

  • exactly boxing requires skill and wil

  • Because its a different sport. Many mma fighters simply find boxing boring. They like kicking, They like being on the ground. Its all just about what you want to do. Why play basketball when football pays more? Its the same thing.

  • yea they like being on the ground fighting like animals and dry humping each other.

  • Yeah that makes sense. Im not trying to offend you and i love the sport of boxing. But im a kickboxer and i study bjj. Boxing is just too simple. Why stay cramped when you can expand? Thats just the way the world is. Anyways. Sorry if i offended you. Just thought i would give the other side some defense.

  • mother fukeur

  • lol. What?

  • boxing is an art form those who find simple have not masterd it

  • 1 thing...Kicking is for pussy's, and Banging each other on the ground is gay, These day's Real fighters (Real boxers) ar rare....and hard to find

  • i wanna get started boxing. any tips on how? wat do i do?

  • look on inet for local gyms that do boxing, its best to find a local coach to do it one on one for a while til ur good enuf for gym otherwise ul b training with ppl that r reli fit n good at boxing

  • Go to a boxing club?

  • Sign up to a fighting combat gym that teaches boxing amongst other things if you decide to expand what you learn. dont learn of youtube videos, you need a trainer to be serious.

  • you can join a gym

  • maybe try to go to a boxclub?

  • practice with some1 better than you. learn to throw your punches FAST, doesnt matter how hard(they will get harder with time). keep your head up. and learned to not get hit (bobs, weaves, blocking).

  • this guys foot work is good, although he could have told you that you need to raise your heel on you back foot a lil bit to make it easier to go backwords and its more easy to move out of the way of incoming punches :)

  • im left handed and i was more comfortable with my left foot in front but then i practiced in southpaw, and became good at it which should i stay with? or should i use both?

  • it would be benificial to practice both, but because your left side is more coordinated, leading left foot stance would be your speed and defensive stance, while southpaw would be your power stance and offensive stance because your left hand is still the stronger hand.

  • its always good to practice both anyway. id say drill ur right foot forward most since u are left handed but if ur in a fight and losing u can always change ur stance. changing ur stance mid fight is a gd way to confuse ur opponent as everything that he has been doing before will have to be reversed eg he will hav to slip away from a jab the other way etc. but ofcourse you need to be comfortable in both stances to use this tactic but im telling u it works very well

  • im right handed and i go with my right foot in front and left in back is that ok?

  • it's called being a "South Paw" don't change ur style, if ur feeling awkward orthodox, stick to southpaw and work on that jab, constantly

  • Yes, thats called southpaw. Whichevefr stance is most comfortable for you is the way to go.

  • not really because the whole point of having ur strongest hand back is coz u wana hav it 'cocked' so to speak so u can land a power punch...having it forward is a waste of a strong hand, u may aswel be left handed.

  • however u feel comfortable

  • HEY LEE! wow long time no see! looking good;)

  • do these tutorials with two people

  • wel if your a boxing expert why are you watching beginer videos?

  • It says beginners you tool.

  • But its a foundation to start beginners on.

  • Do a video on body placement after you throw your combinations. Or one on proper headmovement.

  • i wouldnt slide my foot it would just feel like its slowing me down

  • i really like dhis video of urs. becaures it is all about: 'Boxing' where doing work-out to improve ur body at 100% of good if u want to be good enough to fight opportunity in the ring, besides ii's great to workout by any mean neccesy in order to be the best there is, also [Balance is key in everythinG] to u...inculde mix artial arts, it just like *Bruce Lee* where he work on his footwork in order to grain speed to (AK) his opportunity.... so i'm going to give it a 4-Points! :)

  • LOL the step&slide part looks like Homer Simpsons as he pretend to be handicapped to get a parking lot...

but nice videos for some training at home

  • You dont know what your talking about. Right handed left foot forward traditional stance. Left handed right footforward soutpaw stance. Go to a gym pro.

  • K3rosky that is what he said.

"Right handed...right foot goes back. Left handed..left foot goes back."

  • dude..u said it perfectly, been questioning the importance of footwork

  • if u move forward u will get hit by a left hook or uppercut if u move back he will get jabed so u cant be moving back and forward..u gotta move around

  • Remember, this is for beginners. Learning to be light on your feet and able to bounce in and out comes later on. You have to learn balance before you can move onto anything else.

  • All martial arts have a concept like this on foot movement. Balance is key in everything and you never want to cross your feet.

  • Hmm. It looks a lot like fencing footwork, with the whole one foot at a time thing.

I guess some things are universal.

  • yep, things are universal because they work well =D

  • 0035 lol

  • i recently joined a gym and my trainer has me stepping with my front and taking a smaller step with my back foot, and stepping back with my backfoot with a smaller step with my front foot if im stepping back

is doing a slide not using your lead foot that crucial?

  • Always, ALWAYS listen to your trainer! While the advice online is basic and general, there could be very good reasons why your trainer is telling you something different. Maybe you need to break a bad habit, or there's some postural problem he's correcting. Either way, he will know.

  • JBWKZ13 i dont what the fuck you talking about, he doing it right you idiot, you move your front foot first same time you slide your back foot!and when you move back you move your back foot and slide your front foot. stick to cleaning toilets my friend!

  • yeha it is true but thats for flat footed fighters,

watch people like pacman and amir khan and ali

  • your supposed to push off the back foot and step with your front foot and to go back you push from the front and step with the back

    NOT LIKE THIS VIDEO

  • r u mentally retarted. this is the way to do it. u should shoot ur trainer.

  • who the fuck fights like this?? people who are slow and flat footed like ricardo miorga, de la hoya, fernando vargas THATS WHO

look at all the people who push from the back foot and step with the front, like ali, cotto, suguar ray, paquiao

check video's please i beg you before you start talking shit, if u want i can send you links you dumbass,

  • dats when u throwin a jab

  • tnx

  • nice

yo where u got ur ali poster?

  • awsome! Thanks

  • very helpful tip

  • commmon mistake for beginners to forget that you can do more then move forward or backward, just circling a guy in a fight could be enough intimidation to end it there, that is if you do it legitimately. i live for street brawls :D

  • yea your right....i got into a street fight 2 weeks ago...and i lost my cool..and the dude was circlingme moveing around...i never fought someone like that...and sadly i lost the fight :( he caught me 3 good times!!

  • he is right, and did a good job, but he didn't show how to step to the side. A helpful way to learn the footing good is to tape or draw a square on the ground, and step to each corner.

  • Sound advice. This is one of the few experts on expertvillage. Side stepping is easy, especially circling to the left if your in an orthodox stance.

  • really good info for a beginner, you need to put parts like 1 through what ever so that the learners get a structure. thanks though very helpful I will recommend this to people

  • Wow thanks

  • when im not stepping am i suppose to stand still and on gaurd or should i still be moving

  • mainly block the side of yer face with r/hand, and eyes on his hands. stay brace and dont move much

  • nice ; )

  • thanks for video

  • Good demonstration for beginner such as myself. thanks.

  • thanks
