I've been a Weird Al fan for years but somehow this song had escaped my notice until very recently. Brilliant forerunner to other "long pointless story songs" like Albuquerque and Drive-thru. And I love the slideshow you did with it.
Went to the ball of twine 11 years ago, on a cross country trip. The trip was a necessity but stopping at the ball was purely inspired by this song. It was a fine experience, Al did a great job with this song.
