  • onlive is amazing... future has begun...!!!

  • Onlive deserves fame and I really hope it gives console games a run for their money. The thing is, I don't think gaming in general, especially PC gaming has anything to fear from Onlive for quite awhile considering the lag and the general inflexibility of the games (no modding or deep customization). People that have a good PC don't need to even touch Onlive. However, with Onlive you can play brand new games on a ten year old computer (or even a phone) which is a major plus for a lot of people!

  • I don't wish to sound racist, but they all look the same.

  • pc will always win because its always changing

    ps3 is old

  • Pc = best graphics but at a cost.

Onlive = Very good and can cost VERY little amounts of cash

PS3 = worse but not bad (still good) and middle price range

Onlive wins for me cuz i can play it on my mac, pc, the console and my xperia play at only one cost.... free

  • PC will always win with graphics depending o yur set up... you could sped so much more on a good gaming PC than on a PS3... some people dont have the money/space for these kind of setups though and the PS3 still suffices and provides great gaming

  • @leemster You don't need to spend that much on a gaming pc though

  • @leemster Why are you completely writing off OnLive?

  • @leemster

    1. OnLive does not need you to have a gaming PC

    2. I play Assassin's Creed with better graphics than my PS3, on my Android tablet

    3. My old gaming rig (quad SLI setup) cost me around 30 to 40 bucks a month for the 1200Watts it sucked out all day... OnLive costs me just 10 bucks a month for similar graphics (Well, as compared to that old setup).

    4. The new PS3s suck balls... PS3 v1.0 FTW

  • When it comes to graphics, PC is the best, OnLive second (with a great internet connection) and PS3 is last.

  • @santu662 onlive is a pc

  • @Michaelokupejr PC means personal computer. You don't own OnLive.

  • i not see a diference

  • ps3 FTW!

  • @Indigestionify what are u blind.

the ps3 is shit and its outdated.

    fucking console peasant

  • damn you onlive i cant buy games in europe FUCK YOU FOR THAT !!!

  • @andrei88990 Try going to onlive.co.uk instead of the american site.

  • @TechInAHoodie damn still cant buy hell the first game is almost a dollar who wants to donate a game in to my accont ? i will be forever gratefull :D

  • onlive is best coz you can play heave games like Sintin row 3 and batman

  • i think the PC graphics would depend upon what hardware the PC has, simple as that, onlive in a lot of games will beat consoles in graphics, but your internet bandwidth factors in there as well, consoles are great, but aging and it's showing, a pretty budget built Gaming PC will beat them, but someone with a lower end laptop can use Onlive and get decent to good graphics, which i am liking more and more.

  • only reason onlive hasent got full hd is because its running from the internet

  • oo

  • nice vid man really good

  • If I see this, I`m like: What are good graphics. It all looks good in a other way.

And is this onlive gaming footage straight from the website, or is it on a HD tv by using the microconsole?

  • MY FCKIN LIFE

  • nice video in my opinion is the same.

  • who is the name of the song?

  • hard to say ps3 and onlive graphics look the same pc well looks like ps2

  • If at 2:14 was pc then why does it shows press x

  • @FlowSense544 Because if you plug in a wired Xbox 360 controller, a Logitech F510, a Logitech F710, or any other manor of controllers that use Windows Xbox Controller drivers then you'll be able to use it as an Xbox 360 controller! Imagine that! So what you're seeing is a controller being used to play a PC game, pretty standard stuff.

  • @TechInAHoodie right,thx 4 reminding me i forgot =))

  • @FlowSense544 Anytime! I use a PS3 controller with the Xbox 30 drivers through MotionJoy on my PC. Works just the same. =)

  • @TechInAHoodie add me if you want =)

  • @FlowSense544

Could it be because you can use a 360 controller on Windows PC's and maybe mouse and keyboard suck for racing games? Also, this dude needs to learn how to counter in Batman Arkham Asylum. I hear people complaining about the combat in the Batman games, and these are usually people who have never perfect knight run an entire combat challenge I wager --"just press one button" they say. As if!

  • can anyone send a onlive playpass thank you

    Send at this email: bpurtell15@gmail.com

  • PS3 Looks the same as OnLive

  • so basically it all looks the same

  • whats the songs name?

  • Thanks for the comparison, OP! Really well done. I didn't even realize that OnLive was actually live yet. I thought it was still in the works.

    PC>Xbox360>Everything else>PS3. Enough said. :D

Seeing this (and friends who have PS3s) really reinforces my decision not to spend ungodly amounts of money on a PS3. That and Sony's utter fail with backwards compatibility. That and I <3 my PC. PCs are hands down the best FPS platforms out there... joysticks just can't compare to kb/mouse (seen above).

  • @gymkhanadog So what about OnLive then? And ungodly amounts of money on a PS3? They are like $250, a gaming PC is at least twice that and won't play Blu-rays.

  • PC>PS3>JB's Dick>Onlive, enouph said!

  • PS3 best Game line up.

  • PS3 but i love onlive bicause of the free games

  • @DeathlyMike Actually OnLive has been growing and increasing in popularity. Also, money new games are $45-50 on OnLive, with the optional playpack subscription you get 30% off of everything so those $50 titles instantly become $35.

However your reasons as to why you think it hasn't become popular make absolutely no sense. There's an internet connection needed and your account gets hacked/banned then its not popular? OnLive has about 3.5 Million users now if I had to guess, and its only growing.

  • @TechInAHoodie

to be honest.....i live on a 3rd world country, and is harder to get a better internet than get a better PC to run this, why?

because the internet is something you have to pay with the time, and if, like almost every internet company on my country, steal a part of your own internet without you know, you are screwed up, literally, OnLive fails on most of the world (3rd world countryes) because there are already piratery and get enough internet and hold it

  • @xXxMartin96xXx I'm pretty sure they're not even concerned with third world countries, they only have servers in the US and UK so far.

  • @Chibithor

i am not a cosnpiration freak, brony, but if this keep going like you say, poor people are going to be more poor and richs are gonna be richer

  • @DeathlyMike Actually OnLive can (and has) run Console exclusive titles. It takes a little more work to get them ported, but it is possible and they can do it.

  • pc is never thoroughly examined because graphics card vary thus the game graphix and speed vary

  • I thought OnLive's gaming rig is ran on a pc or something like that. Is this true?

  • @ThwockFace is can be ran on, but is not limited to pc android/ios devices as well as their own console

  • they should add a 240p option for onlive.

  • what you are looking at here is the death of nvidia, ati, playstation and xbox!!!!!

and it will only get better and better.

  • Only game I can see a difference is Just Cause 2, and it's not that big.

  • pc is awesome ps3 the best onlive not so good

  • @bleartchee That makes no sense buddy...but good try.

  • onlive is a knockoff of pc gaming

  • @BoyzNAcne ....Are you high?

  • pc is best extreem

  • Holly crap i cant tell any difference least not enough to notice.man iv been watching alought of these comparison videos and there all the same..Pc with there cutting edge technology should be wiping the floor with Ps3 but there not at all..And somthing else PS3's technology is 5 years old..you know i like PS3 better there colours are a bit lighter wich is good...Holly Crap

  • I have to say is

PS3 can't upgrade the hardware, but PC can

if you want to see the difference between PS3 and PC, just go and buy a GTA IV.

  • How much does your P.C specs affect Onlive performance ,does it scale like a P.C specs do?

  • @BarackMcBush when your gaming on line your computer performance dont help you one bit..think about. How could you push the power of your pc down the line to take advantage of the game.Your dealing with servers and line traffic its imposible...Mind you they have gamer express card what this does is when your playing a online game and if there lots of traffic in the lines these cards give you priority so you dont lag but it dont help the performance...

  • Not much difference really until you see FEAR 2... wow

  • @smudgeon212 No way buddy ..just because its remote hardware doesnt means it isnt unupgradeable .It still can be upgraded like a pc..And ppl will pay more to get more ..And secondly ...Getting software developers on the same platform will only make things easier ..As they can work together to find new technology within that platform.R& D will always persists ..as long as there is a curiosity. & its nt like console gaming will die ot no way every1 can afford a 5mbps connctn presntly

  • @Saieno86 Or you can use PS3 controllers with MotionInJoy. It's completely free if you have a PS3.

  • @smudgeon212 Only when internet speeds can increase dramatically to ensure stable frame rates and if it can essentially kill the optical disk drive AND if it wants to be heat the PC it will have to offer the best graphics, no scaling down

  • (more or less) PC 500 $, PS3 250$, Onlive 99$

  • How fast is your Internet?

  • @Saieno86 There are also many more exclusive titles which developer wouldn't port them to all devices and also a + point in buying a console rather than waiting for update in server hardware or game titles..........

  • @Saieno86 In a country like India we can't have Wi-Fi all wall across streets or anywhere and plus the graphics are low in comparison. It's a good idea to port them to all devices but I want to play them on highest level of graphics on that details that the developer is trying to show. And by the way I have a 2Mbps connection now I need to get a high speed internet and buy game also. It's better to wait for the update version of Xbox and PS in graphics and all the other things and buy them

  • Comment removed

  • better to wait... as next year new hardware will come from microsoft and sony

  • Game play Over Powers Quality... Some People Dont Give A Fuck About quality Some just care about playing the game

  • unreal tournament 99! lol dunno why i said that

  • this is the future no more expensive upgrading of your hardware no more waiting for new consoles while developers have to build their games for 6 year old systems and therefore reduce the quality of the graphics. as soon as everyone has a stable and fast enough connection cloud gaming will takeover the whole market.

  • guys ps3 and xbox are amazing for 6 year old equipment

  • dude yur a fucking dumb ass there mad with the same unreal engine

Thumbs up 4 being an idiot

  • was it just me or did PS3 look the worst

  • @TheBfear it just you. Pause at 3:41 ps3 is a lot more detail than onlive.

    pc<ps3<onlive

  • @drivinman687 I own a PS3, I prefer PS3 over Xbox 360, however if it looks shitty here that's because its being compared to what essentially equals PC hardware. The PS3 actually looks like that, hasn't been turned down in resolution or anything, so if you are worried about what the PS3 looks like then start looking into OnLive I guess. The point of the video is, graphics shouldn't matter as its the some exact game when you look past it.

  • @Saieno86 Sorry but (PS3) looks like you r playing without HDMI.

If i plat without HDMI on my TV thats how looks like

I played Trine many times and this performance looks horrible compared to mine

  • @Saieno86 PS3 is NO WHERE close to PC hardware. We got rid of single threaded IBM/Cell CPUs and 256 mb ram in 2000. PS3 and XBOX 360 are essentially the exact same system with different threading and shader ops on the GPU.

  • @EliteRussianTV It's in this order: 1. PC/Mac 2.360 3.PS3 then everything else.

  • @N9olan Mac?

Fuck that overpriced, overrated, overhyped goat fuck

  • @drivinman687 dont feel bad youtube's video are only at 29.something frames per second and dont show up in true 720P its more like 690 lol

  • @drivinman687 I agree given you use a hdmi cable and a tv with a decent amount of pixels PS3 has the upperhand when it comes to consoles

  • @Saieno86 yeah...1st party software is an exellent way to sell MORE hardware but if thats the only thing you have then is not profitable...this is gonna kill consoles in a few years, no doubt about it

  • PC is for Hardcore gamers or gamers who want best quality..but consoles and Onlive are for people who are casual gamers and don't want to mess with things like installing a game, settings graphics...both are good..i've had both..and both have advantages and disadvantages..

  • grapic still same...you need to Comparison your TV samsung and toshiba

  • onlive is just like a pc, onlive always updates their cpu and gpu to the latest ones every 3 months or so.

  • onlive looks worst in all cases. Blurry and low detail in many cases. On top of that, OnLive seems to be a mess wehn it comes to racing games. Anyway, I will never support a platform where I don't physicly own my games and where a shutdown server takes my games away. Not to spealk of the fact that I can't play games when my ISP broke down for a few hours or so...

  • @karaokefreak1 Read the EULA and TOS for your 'physical' copies of your games, you don't own shit. Also, your ISP seems to be the issue, not OnLive. Works flawlessly for me.

  • @Saieno86 That doesn't matter, since I will be able to play my games on disc for the next 100 years as long as the hardware works. I may only own a license, but I actually have a physical copy that no one can take a way from me. When OnLive shuts down one day, you loose all your games at once. Forever. Forgot to pay your ISP bill? Router malfunction? Heay traffic on your line? All that will have you not play your games. Thx, but no thx. I actually like to play when I am offline as well.

  • @Saieno86 Oh yeah... and what about holidays in places where its hard to get an internet connection? You can't take onlive with you. What when you move into a new flat. Takes some days for the ISP to get yo hooked up - here itÄ's normally 2 weeks. SO that would be 2 weeks without gaming. Why should someone accept that + pixelated graphics + latency + permanent subscription, wehn you can have the same with more comfort with a local machine?

  • @karaokefreak1 Pixelated graphics and latency can be your experience/opinion, however here it's the opposite. I have numerous videos showing off the capabilities of OnLive, it's not just a fluke. I am curious what 'permanent subscription' you're referring to....unless you're still talking about OnLive from a year and a half ago. It's progressed a ton buddy, might want to look into it again since it's actually free and requires no subscription of any kind.

  • @Saieno86 Point 3: Games with sensitive timing are IMPOSSIBLE to do on this system. Music games? Forget about it. Brawlers? Racing Games? Nowhere in the world you will find a Net connection with 0 latency, so these genres will always suffer from laggy controls - renders it useless imho The lag might be small due to optimised routines, but its never fully gone.

  • @karaokefreak1 Music games would just fine, they deal with TV response time latency all the time and this would be no different. Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition has already been shown on OnLive (its in my channel) and there are a number of racing games on OnLive such as Dirt 2 & 3, F1 2011, Flatout 2, etc etc. I've never had an issue with ANY of them, but please keep telling me that what I've been playing for the past year and a half couldn't possibly be right or exist.

  • @karaokefreak1 You're living in a fantasy world buddy, I'll let ya stay there till you get burned.

  • @Saieno86 You know that that guy works in the german gaming industry, right? Guess it's not him living in a fantasy world...

  • @RingOfTheLords German Gaming Industry and he's that ignorant? Might look into who he works for and write a letter to them as he doesn't seem to be qualified for the job.

  • well it will be impossible for the ps3 to have the best graphics on any multi-plat game because the games are made on 360 and ported over to the ps3... just saying

  • Pc made ps3 and onlive PC is god of technology and If u have a pro pc it can rhape a Xbox and ps3 system and Specs this isnt even a competeiton.

Those that say PS3 are most probably, 12 year olds on their moms Dell XP with 512mb

  • @ibrahim380 Aren't you like...13 or 14 yourself? Profile says 20 but the 'This is me' video says "I'm a kid"

  • @Saieno86 made my profile in 2007 i was 12 then :P

  • @ibrahim380 Why can't you make sense?

  • @Tordah26 are u a fking spaztic ...

  • @ibrahim380 Are you dyslexic?

Because if you're not, you need to learn how to spell...and write coherently...and grow up. All three please.

  • You Suck at aiming ( No offense )

  • Onlive will eat your monthly bandwidth in 1 full day of gaming.

  • PC always WINS

  • onlive on pc or consol

  • Comment removed

  • Onlive isn't supported in my country

  • this is not a comparison this is a commercial

  • I don't get how OnLive is supposed to work. As I see it, the service might work for less time-critical games or for casual gamers but I can't imagine playing any of the games I play on this service.

Networking lag is bad enough, particularly for FPS games. But with OnLive, you get control lag too (150ms best average latency), meaning that your singleplayer games also get affected. Sure, you can get top-quality graphics for cheap, but try playing DoDonPachi DaiOuJou with that much control lag.

  • PC, hah? 2:16- "Press the X button on your Xbox controller to strike"... So yeah definitely PC!

  • @BytePodChannel Xbox controller for Windows Games.

  • @BytePodChannel Yeah, PC. Because you know...they make these things called 'USB Controllers' which have Xbox 360 layouts on them. Stupid ass. Listen to tchaf14.

  • @Saieno86 i use a xbox wireless for pc, must have for gta iv ;)

  • @BytePodChannel

Yes as you say it definately is PC idiot, I'm using my xbox controller with onlive and with my mac.

  • @BytePodChannel new to PC gaming?Keyboard and mouse isn't the only external input.

  • I have Onlive with a 50 Mbps Wideband ISP... It has ZERO lag.. I just wish they would get Skyrim with Maxed out graphics on there... I don't wanna spend 2 hours downloading that game... its gonna be MASSIVE..

  • Okay yeah P.C has better graphics but that doesn't mean console graphics are shit. You gonna tell me god of war 3 and uncharted 2 have shitty graphics ? Pisses me off when people act like that I mean how ignorant can you be ?

  • @SuperMicklovin

Probably because they are on the same level as Farcry....in 2004

  • @ronaldmonster no they aren't

  • @SuperMicklovin

    LOL, yes, they are.

Have you seen Silent Hill 3 on the PC maxed out? One of the best looking games of all time, and it came out in 2003 and looks better than anything consoles have put out this entire generation! LMAO

  • @ronaldmonster yeah to bad silent hill 3 was crap compared to 1 and 2. P.C gamers seem to 4get no matter how good a game looks it can still suck

  • @SuperMicklovin

Yeah, too bad you're using a straw man. Silent Hill 3 is considered on-par with the original and the fandom is large majority in comparison to one lone man like you. What console owners seem to forget is that even though you can talk graphics, the moment a pc user interjects it's all "lol the game is shit anyway." LOL

  • @SuperMicklovin Silent Hill 3 was actually the best of the original trilogy. I should know since my fiance is a co-host on the official Silent Hill podcast, The Silent Hill Experience. Your argument is flawed from the start, as the current console generation hardware is nearly 7 years old compared to PC hardware which has only gotten more powerful in those 7 years. How about you take a look at BF3 on PC compared to BF3 on PS3 and 360. If your next comment is "graphics don't matter" don't bother.

  • Between 5:05 and 5:08 there is a sound... Xfire maybe.

  • PC>onlive>ps3

  • @cavid455 Well of course. Onlive is still PC based.

  • PS3 + pc= ONLIVE

  • onlive wins

  • song name pleez

  • @Miller3492 Wow thats fucking bullshit i actually play onlive and that is not the case. U may just have a shit connection.

  • onlive has a little delay on fps wich i dislike

  • Thumb up for onlive. Abd make sure you are holding Alt

  • pc wins but onlive and ps3 = graphicly the same

  • pc>onlive>ps3 that if you're comparing the quality...If you're comparing the Accessibility and money$ then it's Onlive>ps3>pc. I personally use pc, but I often enter onlive to check for new games.

  • fear looks a bit different so what u dont need to download or install or wait

  • PS3 IS A SUPER PC LOOK IT UP

  • @swagger87145 lol PS3 is NOT a super PC, its not very powerful at all. Its comparable with a 3-4 year old PC, thats it.

  • @Xiolablu3 look it up fagget

  • @swagger87145 OK I looked it up, the PS3 has a 3.2ghz single core cpu, an PC has a 4 or 6 Core 3 ghz cpu. PC wins by miles. PS3 GPU (graphics chip) is equivalent of a Nvidia 7950GT, (7xxx) which was a graphics card on PC's from 4-5 years ago or more. Nowadays PC graphics have gone from 7xxx, to 8xxx, to 9xxx, to 2xxx, to 4xxx, and to 5xxx today. That means the PC is 5 generatioins ahead at the moment. PC's of today are many times more powerful than a PS3. You look it up, and learn, kid.

  • @Xiolablu3 i did no ur wrong kid im older than u my nigga

  • @Xiolablu3 Don't worry @swagger86145 is just fucking retarded

  • @Xiolablu3

In all fairness though that depends on what computer you are buying, getting a fully up to date computer can cost quite a bit, most computers still come with dual core if you buy from most shops anyway.

  • @swagger87145 the army used ps3's tied together as servers because at the time a bunch of ps3's was cheaper then a super computer. however that was the past, and ps3 is not a super computer alone. i can buy a computer for $400 that outperforms the ps3 easily

  • @vnvxvnv pc have hackers modders

  • @swagger87145 pc also has punkbuster, which prevents that during online multiplayer. consoles dont

  • @swagger87145 Dude....plz dont speak about computers.....you're clearly a fucking moron. My laptop I use for school has better specs than a PS3, not counting my desktop....that will blow a PS3 out of the water. I think you're the one that needs to "look it up". The "microprocessors" PS3 runs is based on a technology from 2001, and the graphics processing is clocked at 550 mhz (lol) and 256 mgs of ram. L...O...L. This is all probably over you're head, you are a console user.

  • @swagger87145 LOL

  • lol i cant tell the difference...

  • ive got bad quality ....... how can i get better ones??? got a shitty pc and shitty internet is it possible to get bettter quality ??? i love onlive as it is based on theire servers so my pc taht lags on minecarft can run homefront without a single lag spike

  • @Ps3subscriber You need better internet, that's all.

  • @Saieno86 well aint getting that in the near future :(( its the place i live in thats the problem i have great internet just its shitty because of were i live :(

  • @Ps3subscriber yes thats it, you just need a better inter net. The minimum required internet for onlive is 2mb and for a very god quality and a fast reaction it needs 5+mb

  • @Ps3subscriber haha lol i got a bad pc too and lag on minecraft :) by the way if u want better quality u must pay so i have heard :(

  • I love how they lie about The Graphics :P 7:20

  • @M4775K311 It's not a lie, 720p is a resolution.
