  • This is very interesting. Thank you. I have often wondered who filmed this occasion.

BTW I will be playing at their next reunion next week, 23rd Oct.

  • My dad actually found this little gem on here he is an member of this regiment never misses a reunion its quite fun seeing this he has the original copy of this somewere and he has said he is pretty sure this is my mum filiming this and another funny thing the woman walking past the camera at about 4.30 is my nan :).

  • It was me that wrote that tune for him. We only found out about his 80th birthday about a week after the date. He'd kept quiet about it. Hence the tune!

  • Sid and I worked together for many years to run the band. He was one of my best friends.

  • I thought that might be the case!

I am his grandson - Kevin Dacey. Saw the band on many occasions (many from afar!) when i was little.

I remember the piece the band composed for, i think, his 80th birthday - Sid's Little Secret or something? He used to have the sheet music hanging in his hallway, it meant so much to him, as did the band, and by extension the band and pipe music means a lot to me too.

  • What was his name? I was the Pipe Major at the time.

  • Sid Edwards

  • I think my grandad might have had something to do with this! He was heavily involved with Liverpool Scottish until about 2001 or something i think.
