  • Ok.. This will help me a lot because I am going to make a xenomorph tail this looks like the basic bass that I could build off of. Thanks again!

  • please can you sub. in SPANISH!!*3*!!! i want to make 1 but i dont understand all L0L xD

  • Approximately how much K'nex should I need? If I buy the 400pc kit will that be enough?

  • @KittyForTheWin I had to buy several boxes of the 400 pcs, about 4 boxes with little left over.

  • Wouldn't this break in normal every day use ?

  • make 4 more and put them under ure arm itll look like doctor octpues

  • Im definatly going to try this, probably have enough K'new to o it, and I have the whole summer :D

  • Could I put fabric on it? Would it be to awkward have any more sections to it? I am making an xenomorph costume and need a movable and sturdy tail to make it possible. Will u give me hints and clues on it? Just PM me when u can.

  • Do you know the average cost of the materials...?

  • I'm unable to make this tail. Would you be willing to sell one?

  • I've watched one of your other videos and you've said you tried may ways to make this tail. I don't know anything about k-nex or mechanics but maybe you could try heavy duty paper clips. And if the weight is to lite you could try magnets to add weight to it. It might not work but I think you should try it!

  • By any chance, is it possible to add more sections? Or does it start getting too awkward and heavy?

  • @RemnantsKLY As far as k'nex go, this is the most weight I can have. Other designs have the potential to be longer.

  • you must have thumbs of steel or something because mine are throbbing from trying to get all those parts connected, oh well, at least I finally got my tail constructed ^-^, took forever to find some extra parts lol

  • Very interesting! I'll have to try it out, cover it with pantyhose, then build a furry tail around it. It also looks like a good base for some servos to attach and move it around.

  • interesting but i think i could manage with 1 inch wood dally segments, fish eye hooks, string, bands, and some foam sheets for body. "but still nice work"

  • I'd say go for it dude! Im actually interested to see how people can best my design, be it out of k'nex or any other material. Though, making it out of wood would be alot of craftmanship. Goodluck!

  • This is very interresting! When I first saw the tail you made I was wondering why it wasnt' noisy or made that robotic noise when it moved, then I realised it wasnt made in any animatronic way. my reaction? WOW! That's really amazingly well done making such a good tail that follows your movements so well and looks so realistic. Well I've never heard of K'nex before, but I really feel like trying to make this tail now. Your tutorial is a litlle fast on how to make it, bu it's ok :) good job!

  • lol im stupid...id actually need u sitting right next to me telling me what piece to use at what time lol......we should do that! i start work next week and witing a few months, i'll buy some K'nex lol

  • this is perfect, I've already finished 95% of the tail part, but I ran out of the 4 segmented green parts, and then when I tried to do the back brace part I ran out of the really tiny k'nex T-T, now I have to go out and buy some more
