  • Can't move...so...overwhelmed...with awesomeness...can just...hit...subscribe button...

  • @niriop :) :)

  • This was a great laugh. Is it a serious critique or a joke? I'm interested either way.

(Plus, Quine's pragmatic stance toward theory as a whole is what puts him in place for realism about numbers and sets, so if we are going to be criticizing this aspect keep that in mind. Economy...etc. )

  • @TheClayton387 Serious critique or joke ... don't make me choose! :)

  • W0w...great!

  • @Forkroute Thank you!

  • mmm yeah... :)

  • OHmygoodness. I keep repeating this. If only all philosophy was done in song...

  • @trollforlife :) One day ... one day.

  • I was trying to decide if this is a video, or simply undetached still-frames, .... but got interrupted by the barking of my two dogmas.

Never mind, it's late, I'm tired.

    GAVAGAI !!!!!

  • Don't let him lure you in ... !

  • Had me smiling Ms conceptualtruth... anybody ever accuse you of being a tease?

  • @paulnoordhof No. Nobody. Ever. (Except maybe you, by implicature, just now.)

  • @conceptualtruth I thought as much. Well if anything ever so unfair is laid at your door, let the resistance start here. Wilful misinterpretation that's all it would be!!!

  • WoW!!!!

  • :) :)

  • Very nice vocals, love the song!! Big fan!!

  • Thanks Johnny!

  • This is catchiest song on the record. It gets stuck in people's heads too.

It even made me go back and look at Quine. Unfortunately, the song was better.

  • :D Thanks!

  • Is the lyric "and you lead in, with the promise of positions"?

Also, what is the lyric after "all aboard" in the first chorus?

  • It's "He'll lure you in with the promise of positions" and "All aboard Neurath's ship; it will all be fine". :)

  • PS: The complete lyrics are available from the link in the info, if you need to check any of the others! Just scroll down to the song, and there's a 'view lyrics' button on the left!

  • Great lyrics! Lovely voice as well.

  • So kind! Thank you!

  • Hmm. I like my lyrics better. Those positions are bad, but he likes them. So, it makes sense to say "and you lead in, with the promise of positions, that you love" - where the "you" is Quine. No one likes realism about numbers and sets, or a continuity between philosophy and science.

  • /I/ love all those things!

  • But I suppose that has to do with why these songs are so great. Analytic philosophy is a McCarthyist disaster, but it makes for great music! (e.g. comedy of the absurd)

  • wOw... wOw... incredible and beautiful vocals... GREAT JOB !!! 5*/F

  • Thank you very much!

  • Willard Van Orman Quine ♫ 5/5 ★s

is this a org ? Loved the vocals !!

  • Thanks! It's a digital piano (Yamaha Clavinova CVP range).

  • conceptualtruth haha sorry , is this a original song of yours ? because i try to find org songs and put them in my fav for people to visit ,once again sorry for the confusion

  • Oh! Ha! Yep, this is original. :)

  • I was pretty sure , but ya , i really enjoyed the lyrics and voice , your very-talented !! Fav :O)

  • :) Thanks again!!
