Yes, you have to complete certain challenges to unlock songs. See guide at tinyurl dot com slash 28ge6c (I have to write out the address like that because otherwise youtube won't let me make this comment -_-)

Alternatively, you can just set it to Time Release and play for 7 hours or so.

Yeah, it's good. It has more new songs than any previous game with all the ee'mall stuff (over 100 new songs if I'm not mistaken). They did revive the song "Kids" but I'm not really sure why that'd be a dealbreaker O_o
