  • Amen Bro. Odd as it may we have Roads like this in the States. More Dead though. lol

  • If you want to go out bush in Australia make sure you are driving a Toyota, Nissan or a Landrover!

If you want to make it back from out bush as well then drive a Toyota!

    Enjoyed your video!

  • @pseudechis Oddly enough I have always made it back in my Nissan.

  • Jesus, I wouldn't dare to drive any car apart from Toyota/Honda over there...

  • @wilsontt88 Honda ? Not too many Hondas up to outback roads, no actually there's none. Toyota and Nissan rule the outback roads. Lots of Land Rovers, Mitsubishis, some Jeeps and a sprinkling of other 4WD's but sorry, no Hondas.

  • hey bloody people, why did you drive in the wrong side of the roads ?

  • @huynhminhtri Oddly enough the same side as you do except we have road rules.

  • @Briankey1960 Might take a while but somebody will come along and everybody will stop to help in the outback. If you go seriously remote you hire or buy a satphone.

  • The "bloody tourists" are paying premium dollar for those campers. Dollars that stay here in Aus.

  • @arista007 "tongue in cheek" comment

  • i like this video awesome country very beautiful

  • The last part is Fitzroy Crossing isn't it? :p

Nice video, but I think not many Europeans will head for some unsealed river crossings when they just arrived lol :-)

  • @Engineer9736 The last bit is heading south of Alice Springs on the Stuart Hwy

  • outback roads are heaps fun to drive on, some roads span the length of almost the whole United States.

  • Wow... I'll be settling in Australia soon and I've been looking forward to going to the outback. I'm not European but thank you for the light-hearted tips!

  • @4:05 that's a train on tires!!

  • @cmsahe thats why they are called road trains, check out some of my road train clips

  • @Rocketboy1950 ok, i'll watch them

  • lol quite funny

you must be proud to be an Australian

  • @smellytoilet1996 Lets just say that I'm really happy to be lucky enough to be living here

  • nice video mate... from canada 8)

  • Well done Mate, good job

  • grumpy old bastard. Sure are lol. Yeah that's a bit of australian modesty right there.

  • nothing beats the patrol, used to have a hilux, then a 4 runner than patrols, they've been the best 4wds ive had in my life. im onto my 3rd now the 08 st with cooper mud tires on them and its excellent. every so often im in the outback and im a surveyor, i have to get around and the patrol gets me there excellently, no problems although its silver trims on my model is a bit naf, scratches easy.

  • 'more bloody tourists' what a stupid statement.

  • It's tongue in cheek but obviously lost on some of you.

  • I knew a French couple who were going to drive from Brisbane to Cairns and back for the weekend.

I talked an indian researcher from making a 4 day field trip from Sydney to Darwin and back.

People just do not understand the distances in Australia.

  • @D70Dug My english cousins were staying with us in Melbourne. They announced they'd like to drive up to Cairns for the weekend.

    ummmm.... errr...

Not surprising northern-hemispherists don't understand how big Australia is, given the Mercator maps we all use. Ever seen a Peters Projection world map. MUCH more accurate! Peters projection should be mandatory world-wide. But we don't even use it in Australian schools. Sheeeesh!

    If you're wondering: watch?v=n8zBC2dvERM

  • you say "bloody tourists" however you say on your profile that your hometown is Melbourne and this is quite obviously not Melbourne so that means your a tourist aswell.

  • Correct, you should have developed a sense of humour by 19

  • Evidently not.

  • Is this Far North West QLD/ NT?

    Love the bulldust :D

Another quality Video mate 5 stars

    P.S. Nice Patrol.

  • Some in the NT and some in WA, may even be a little SA in there

  • Nice one...I was trying to see a number plate but the rodeo is either a bush basher or you've taken it off :P

  • I just wish the car was a ute!

  • That'd be uteless for me, I need the extra seats.

  • It was a light joke.

  • so was my response

  • also if u have to drive a night and get stuck behind a truck keep a fair distance away because they dont have enough time to break for roos and when they run them over they will spit them out from underneth on your car......personal experience...

  • Nice mate well done. Good tips too especially for those who have never driven our outback.

  • You make bloody good videos mate. We have the best country in the world and more people should get off of their backsides to see it.

  • Sadly (for them ) a lot of people lack the two vital elements. Money and time. This however is good for me as I don't have to put up with crowds and traffic.

  • Hahaha fair enough mate. I completely understand.

I use to have an 82 MQ Patrol with a small block Chevy on dual fuel. Great machine. I miss it :(

  • Rocket for Australian Tourism Minister.

    Great work mate.

  • Not me brother, I'm not much good at 'spin' and don't care much for political correctness and jargon.

  • Nice Video!

This remembers me when I was on my journey through Australia, even WITH a hired campervan on those kind of tracks ;-).

I got stuck on a sandy road, lucky I got out, but i wrecked the van.

  • Very beautiful... I'll need a better car though...

  • i dont see many tractor trailers with 3 loads its illegal here in new york

  • You had better take a peak at my latest clip and see what you think of the quads.

  • wow damn mabey ill move there just to haul them
