@MsEllentube No problem at all - you need to visit the writing page for task II and look at the lesson called 'Analysing the question' - that explains about the 4 types.

you said there are 4 types for task II : (which i think are basically standard)

- give an opinion: introduction, 1^ way of thinking, 2^ way of thinking, my opinion and conclusion; (discuss)

-Compare points of view: Introduction, advantages and disadvantages, my opinion and conclusion; (agree or disagree)

.... i hope it is right!!! what's about the others 2??? thanks :-)

Hi, I'd like to know what should we write in the task 2, fox example in task 1 we need to write the introduction (Sir/Madam for a formal letter or etc) the body like a complain or apology, the reason why we write, the requests and the conclusion, for the task 2 we should write the introduction, suggestions.. and then what???? thanks ahead!!!

You need to follow the format of introduction, body paragraphs and conclusion. Each of the body paragraphs should have a single idea which is developed and supported, with a example if appropriate. However, there are 4 different types of Task II essay (give an opinion, compare points of view etc) and you need to use a suitable format depending on which type it is.
