  • Never have a i had such an experiance from a musician more then Michael Hedges this wonderful talented man opened my mind to more things then i could have of hoped for thank you Michael hedges You saved me.

  • @guitarplayer354 Michael hedges was a great musician. He practically revolutionised acoustic guitar playing.

  • Holy Crap!!! Totally unbelievable, except you can just see him actually doing it!

  • He deserves a handshake just for the shoes

  • @duracellaltoids Rick Astley plays Martin. Now there's a sight I thought I'd never see

  • yoo type 3 secretion you got any idea where i can find the all along the watchtower one from this set of vids it used to be on you tube but its gone

  • he was so ahead of his time...

  • Stanley Jordan

  • Does anyone have the video of him doing all along the watchtower from the same performance. It's the video that first got me into Hedges and I miss it. Bloody awesome!

  • something about the audio quality brings this song even more to life. idk. he is sorely missed.

  • Tom Hanks can play guitar like that?!

  • well since thats not tom hanks... he kind of looks like him in this video though ill admit, still, michael hedges is on my top 5 greatest acoustic players of all time

  • ahahaha

  • he learnt that when he cast away for 2 years..

  • You don't see this kind of passion in our present time. People just play to look cool or sound "sufficient". Michael looks like he plays to release himself, at least to me?

  • I totally agree with you man. He looks to be in his own world when he plays and I totally admire that. People try to draw too much attention to themselves on stage by trying to look cool.....but he was always sooo focused on making the best possible sound he could.

  • fuck yeah, you can feel the passion of the music coming from michael. Dont see that nowadays, well, most of the time.

  • Was he ever a guess on Letterman or Leno. Or wasnt Michael alive back then?

  • I remember this one. MH and Leo Kottke hosted VH1 one evening and took turns playing their songs. I'm guessing about 1986 or 1987.

  • Seriously I can't get enough of this song!

  • Yes, agreed, this song fucking grooves! the quality of this one is terrible but thanks to whoever uploaded it

  • seriously i understand i cannot either

  • Yeah it's such a fantastic, dynamic piece of excellence! It's what Michael Hedges would call "Trash Acoustic" :D

  • Well I love trash acoustic. I think its a lot more to the point than some other "clean" stuff anyways.

  • Yeah that's true, + I agree on your most recent comment, music today is really just loud annoying, repeatitive noise, & to think theyc an actually play an instrument caz they pick up an electric guitar for a year or 2... Anyway, muat stay positive, after all there are plenty of good musicians still left, classical I mean, peace ;)

  • This guy didn't transition well from the 60's, at least in the cloths department. Nice sound quality on the vid though.

  • Ah. Check out a number of his other videos. He has many "looks". One of them is "dork".

This looks like it was recorded from an old VHS tape. hedges fans are so rabid that we will watch anything with Michael in it.

If you've never heard him for real before, check out some of the better videos. You won't be disappointed.

  • amazing- captivating ....

  • it looks like he's on the Tonight Show.
