How does Atlas fit into this? Did they take Atlas from an earlier version of Astro Boy and just assumed people saw that version before this one?

@Spideyfan17 Skunk built Atlas from a copy he made of Astro Boy's blueprints. This was apparently on the second and third parts of the uncut Japanese version of episode one which is blocked by Starz Media. The first confrontation between Astro Boy and Atlas is in the uncut Japanese version of episode two, Astro Boy versus Atlas, which IS available here on youtube.
