Affirmations are great. BUT! For me me meditation worked much better. First I would close my eyes and mentally say the things I'm thankful for then picture my desire. AND BELIEVE ME it worked 100% of the time.

@icedlava I don't deny anyone their beliefs, however believing in something fraudulent doesn't make it real no matter how hard one tries. The concept that somebody suffering from terminal cancer attrapcted that condition to themselves is downright abhorrent, there's enough in vision, determination, motivation and the unpredictability of life to explain success / failure, without having to invoke superstition or blame.

I wish people would wake up from superstition, and stop wishing for a cosmic handout. The law of attraction is made up mumbo jumbo, dates to 1910, published during the 'New Age Thought' wave, without a shred of attestable evidence or research. (It sounds lovely though, and I'm sure it's very attractive to people who want money, big houses, cars and sex, but it's not true, sorry.)

Go make a real success of yourself, The real secret is just to go & do it, you'll either succeed or fail.

But i believe that it is with a soild determination and faith in your vision that you able to succeed. At the end of the day, your beliefs will mold your character, as your principles does. Whatever works for you and makes you a better person should be enough. No need to challenge others to wake up.

With regards to attracting stuff that you want like a magnet, you need to release your resistance to it, pay attention to your beliefs (chronic thoughts) around what you want, they may need to be replaced with allowing beliefs!
