  • wow... super cool...

hey can u tell the name of the music u used..

  • CHEATER, THAT MY FUCKING HOUSE!

ignoring the previous comment.... thats pretty fuckin bad ass!

  • Wow. Everything looks great. You must have done some serious optimization. Keep up the good work man!!!

  • Please teach me.... o___o Im learning how to use this program for the first time

  • does it only vray for maya which can make movie animation?

i'm using Rhinoceros, and cannot find any render plug in to make movie.. :(

  • Amazing Work .

  • only 18 hours????????????????? wooow

  • Man, could you make a tutorial explaining how you illuminated this scene by using Vray?

    =)

  • multiframe incremental or animation prepass&animation rendering ?

  • lovely!!!

  • you can speed up rendering by saving IRmap, so vray dont need to calculate GI every frame. But ist only usablw in scenes where isnt moving objects, lights and other stuff.

  • its funny to see how you use twixtor to reduce render times with 50% ;D. i use same technique.

you only have to watch out with objects moving faster trough the screen like at 0:04 and 0:08, you can see a bit of warping.

    But GREAT job!

  • What's the name of the song?

  • MAN! your ilumination is just PERFECT!

  • Gorgeous lighting but the room needs some color. When a room is too white it feels empty. Also how do you like using maya for archviz? Years ago i worked in maya but switched to 3ds max because i felt it was a lot more practical for architecture.

  • @RaGaZzAcCiO23 @RaGaZzAcCiO23: You're right, it needs some more color. But actually that was just a test. Check out the Gallery Appartment I did, that looks a lot better I think. About Maya and Archvis: I'm also now switching to 3DS Max because of the reasons you mentioned. Still I love Maya, it's the program I use since 10 years. Looking forward to VRay RT GPU..

  • @mischi3d Grate job, Can u please tell me where i can get a maya V-ray tutorial

  • @mischi3d How did your switch from 3ds to maya go - I'm doing the same thing now..

  • @RaGaZzAcCiO23

This is Paulo, funny seeing u here. you really do live and breath archviz

  • @RaGaZzAcCiO23

Mate You really do live and breath archviz Paulo

  • hey michi i need help! i got maya i payed $3,000..and i dont even konw how to use it.

  • Comment removed

  • @windowsvista113 LOL are you serious? You actually PAYED $3000 for Maya and you're on here asking how to use it? First off 3D packages are VERY VERY deep programs and it takes a very long time to learn. Its not something you can just jump into and start making things. There are hundreds of tools you need to learn and understand before you even think of creating anything. I suggest you take a class or invest in some in depth video tutorials. Learning 3D requires ALOT of time and dedication.

  • hi, i really like the camera movement. i am using maya vray since from 2 month.. but i am still not getting right settings for animation render. if you can tell me those settings it will be very great.

    Thanks.

  • why use after effects?

  • Comment removed

  • Super

    Shume mire

  • any tutorials specific to vray maya?

  • Great video! I've just subscribed to your channel. What do you think of our video / animation 'rewarded best exterior animation of the year in 2008'?

  • umm i'm a maya user but i switched to max for vray, now that theres a vray version for maya i still find 3ds max vray easier to use is more intuitive even though you have control with the shaders, maya doesnt have photometric lighting which makes maxs interior lighting so much better plus i've compared big scenes on maya and max and max has proven to be more effective and theres the vray RT for max as well

  • Absolutely Fantastic ; )

  • Very very nice!!!!

  • What Does Vray do?? is it the Eqwivilant of Maya?

  • simply amazing

  • omfg

i really want to make one!!!!!!!!

    <33333333333333333

  • 10 minutes för frame :S

Vray seem to be a slow renderer

  • @Yrgen2 Slow renderer are you kidding me? Its one of the fastest ones out there. Calculates lighting and displacements incredible quick. They even have their realtime renderer out now for 3ds max. You obviously dont know how to use it if you think its slow. Its probably 3x faster than mental ray. Being good at vray like any renderer means knowing how to optimize your settings for a good balance of speed and quality.

  • thats totally amazing geeves.

  • Nice work!!

maybe a little bit bright? but yeah awesome

  • the audio suites the fabulous video. Well done

  • stunning!

  • whats the name ant artist of the song?

  • of course maxwell...which is as mental ray far superior than vray is just that everybody can play with vray and get very good result... but to work with maxwell or mental ray it´s more needed than just fiddeling around a bit. Of course vray is a nice render engine no discussion about that it´s just i can see a vray render from a mile away they look more or less all the same to me.. just my 2 cents

  • Beautiful... do you know about Maxwell Render? Which one do you think is better in terms of realism and quality?

  • Maxwell is generally easier to configure, but both can produce the same results if configured correctly. Maxwell should also be considered useless for animations.

  • thanks, I tried both demo versions and I have to say maxwell is extremely slow. At this point I'd go for vray.

  • it's really fantastic bro but how can i render a scene like this i use v -ray for max and sketchup and their out is jpeg how can i render a hole animation like this ?

  • Is there a longer version? This looks really impressive.

  • is vray still a beta for maya

  • @evilchimp69 nope, it's a full version since a half a year. I can really recommend it!

  • i haz the beta om my job...we need the full version....were can i get it.good stuff dude.love vray.

  • @evilchimp69 hows vray for maya run? I used to be a maya user but moved over to 3dsmax. Maya is way too tedious for architectural visualization IMO.

  • @RaGaZzAcCiO23 its fantabulous.i love it.e-z to use.but i still haz ze beta.bug here and there with texture not apearing correctly but its good.

  • Average render time per frame please!

  • @JohnFelipo it was about 10 minutes per frame. I rendered the animation in twice the speed and then reduced it again in AfterEffects by 50%. That works great!

  • @mischi3d seems to be very stuttery..is that just the YT upload or the fact that you did a time remap in AE?

  • wow so let me get it right you are saying that all of this level of realism took only 18 ??? i must get a quad core right now i have dual core . very fantastic by the way

  • Man, feel like I am the only one not asking about technical parameters etc., but could you please reveal what music is that? :) It's really nice a fits into the scene... A spectacular scene byt the way. Hope to be doing as good as you soon. :)

  • Oh, that is actually a song from YouTube. The original track was deleted because of copyright issues. Thanks for the compliment and happy holidays to all!

  • 18hrs? omg mine is 2core and i wanna make one for a project :G

  • 18 Hours is really short. Everything is rendered with GI! Especially The blurred reflection of the wodden floor takes a long time to render. Actually VRay is very fast, I guess with Mental Ray it would have taken twice the time.

  • @mischi3d

    o man its awesome!

i am currently working on maya animations for my

architecture studies and i try to find info etc

keep up the aweesome work ;)

  • hey man real nice scene, tell me please which parameter do i change in Vray to make the shadows as smooth as possible?

  • @mischi3d

love it ..! cud u pls tell me ur system's configuration .. so i know how much time shud it take to render in my machine ..

keep up the good work.! regards.

  • I don't know why V-ray don't work with Maya 2009?

  • How fast does Vray for Maya render on a machine like urs? Also Is there a V-ray RT for maya?? From what i saw, V-Ray RT is really fast, does that mean people wont need renderfarms?

    thanks.

  • VRay RT is really fast but if you want to render in in Production quality mode, you would still need a Renderfarm or wait a few nights. Right now VRay RT is not available for Maya but they plan a GPU based VRay and that will be available for Maya a well

  • good idea, ind.illum. is turned off?

  • CAPTIVATING!!

  • sweet!!

  • Charles and Ray Eames and Castiglioni ! Very good !

  • It would take a year to render this with my Intel Pentium 4 HT 3GHz and a (! xD) ATi Radeon X300 and 1 Gigs of RAM...

But is use 3ds max and have only the default render engine and mental ray... No VRay. Is Vray better than Mental Ray???

  • I never really liked Mental Ray, although it is a great renderer where you can get very good results. What I don't like is that it is much more technical, you can adjust about every little parameter of the lights, materials, cameras etc. Vray is "easier" to learn, but still don't expect that you'll get superrealistic results "right-out-of-the-box"...

  • i'd like to give vray a try, but I haven't seen any good tutorial on vray for maya, would you recommend me a website or something please?(by the way ... Maybe you would like to see some of my works. they're also on youtube)

  • You can use the 3ds max tutorials. Everything is very similar. There are good ones here on youtube...

  • wow this will certainly be of great use for arch jobs. looks awsome and render time seems very fair.... What machine did you exactly use buddy? congratulations

  • Thanks, yes, because of the possibility to prerender the light and shadows (only for non-moving objects), there is no flickering and the rendertime is that short. I have a Quadcore Q6600 with 4 Gigs of RAM, so really nothing special...

  • What the... only 121 views!?!?!? This should have WAY more after a month!

  • I was thinking the same thing.

  • Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thanks, there's a lot more to come... :-)
