this jams got it goin on - and whoever said a foul word about death metal fuck you
this is the kind of jam i can get into really good, just something i can relate to jazz better, because that's what i know how to play, but also influenced by something more modern, with beats
I have been re-watching this video for many times. It becomes one of my fav. music, the blending of sound and the conversation between the synth and percussion - matching the visual art so well. Loved the dissonance of synth and the special rhythm of 7/8 here.
really cool if your into real music this shit is complex son recognize bitch. go listen to your death metal and gay growling shit by the way death metal drummers stole out many ideas from jazz drummers.
ur right 111lb111, you're absolutely right, but as i am the guitarist in a thrash metal band (FuelFist btw, if you haven't heard of us, lol) the best part about being in a metal band is the opportunity to incorporate rhythms and feels like this and still retain the adrenaline rush and energy drive that thrash metal has the potential to deliver, which personally is a high for me, like when i'm pounding out an intense 5/4 riff on stage before bridging to a 7/8 then...well you get the idea
I love the way a good jazz drummer can make those drums talk--it's like they are telling a story! And this drummer can really change in and out of time with a complete sense of control. The keys are cool too, I am just more knowledgable about drums.
I think Im getting mindfucked with this video. Mysterious music and I can't really visualize the room you guys at. O.o
