I know for a fact Vinnie is also with DDRUM; I was a drum-tech for him in Colorado during the month of June, & DDRUM sent him a Dios kit to play at the show, in-accordance with his rider. He just recently switched to Istanbul Mehmet, too.
Why he switched from DW is beyond my comprehension (I should have asked), as I wasn't too impressed with the manufacture quality of the Dios kit while I was changing-out heads. It looked good, & we made it sound decent, but it wasn't a DW.
If you dont think Vinny is any good and Bill ward is the best so what the F are you doing here ??? Go and watch a ward video but dont shit on one of the best drummers ...Dont talk to Strangers is a living example on how good he is !!!
Vinnie Appice was the first drummer I idolized at age 10 after seeing Dio's Last in Line concert on VHS, live at the Spectrum (Philadelphia, I think). I wore my copy of that tape out, and the original too! glad to see Vinnie is still rockin'
