Me and my horse are doing a rodeo in September, we're doing barrel racing and pole bending as well.... I gallop him round the barrels but he cant turn as tight as that :) oh well

I got them a a josie clinic i went to a few years ago.. and i have no idea what kind they are haha. im sorry. And yes i love her soo much and i am very lucky to have her!! I don't know what i would do without her. :) <3

What kind of times do you get on barrels and poles? I am thinking about getting an arab for gaming as well, just curious as to what kind of times your getting. The only thing that I noticed you could work on is that you make a diagonal line towards the first barrel which slows down your time.What you want to do is come up straight towards your third barrel then as you approach the first put your inside leg on her and start bending her around it. You want to make a candy cane shape.

ok thanks!! i will keep that in mind! :) I used to get about 21 to 22 seconds in pole bending. and 17 seconds in barrel racing depending on the size of the pattern. i love arabians and i think they work great for stuff like this!!

lol any breed of horse can be highly strung, its how you raise them and how you train them that imparts their personality. any breed can turn out horses that are level headed and perfect, just as any breed can turn out the psychos.

I ride an Arab and some of them can be pretty hard to control. But, yeah, so long as you are not hard on the mouth. And I should shutup now because I know nothing about western lol
