  • Thanks. Question: Can I put colored Rubik's cube stickers on it and solve it using normal algorithms?

  • @SmarterProductions You could totally do that, but they would have to be customized for each block since the shapes are different :)

  • U can buy that off of amazon for 15 bucks I got a colored one for ten

  • I got mine 3 bucks free shipping

  • Dude, that looks so awesome! Thanks so much for that review, it was very helpful =D I ordered one of those last night for my boyfriend on Ebay. He's a huge Rubik's fanatic, and I really hope he likes it!

  • it's not called a mirror block cube, it's called the icon cube! check the rubiks website for the name

  • @Thejeditusken2 When this was first released (In Japan) it was called the mirror cube as a rough translation of the Japanese name. As I mentioned while opening the box, everything is written in Japanese. At that time, there was no English name and Rubik's website did not feature this cube.

  • @Thejeditusken2 actually this is called a mirror block, the icon cube is just a grayscale version of the regular 3x3.

  • @Thejeditusken2 FALSE SIR! this cube is different than the icon, this cbube uses different sized cublets, the icon is a normal cube with shiney stickers

  • @thetechanator oops. my bad. i couldn't tell the difference

  • THERE IS A RUBIKS MIRRORBLOCK????

  • Is it possible to make a siamese mirror block cube? I've always wondered but never tried :)

  • im waiting for the mirror block revenge..hahahaha

  • do the algorithms for solving a 3x3 cube work for this one? or are there new ones to figure out?

  • @menintendofan Its all the same algorithms except there's the additional parity algorithms (there is now parity because of the missing centers). There are a few different parity algorithms out there so search around for one you are comfortable with.

  • @Jonowl theres really not a parity

  • @yit2525 See my other video explaining the parity and how it works (Yes there most definitely is parity).

  • @Jonowl i never noticed a parity on mine

  • @Jonowl there's no parity.

  • @unclesam6 Who said there's a parity? Its exactly like the normal 3x3.

  • @Jonowl I solved it using all the same algs. There is absolutly no differece other than the shapes. nothing new. it just takes a little positioning to get the corners in the right orientation. thats about it? Solved it multiple times. parity isn't possible on a 3x3. just make sure when you solve the last layer all the pieces are the same height. You have to visualize the pieces standing high as the incorrect pieces. and the flat pieces. the right pieces.

  • i was on vacation in japan and i saw this thing. it's the same as a 3x3 but its confusing at first.

  • i buy the fake one for 4 dollars and is the same compare the the original none differences

  • This is very cool, and looks amazingly DIFFICULT

  • hey i also just made a review on

    the bump cube....

if your planing on buying one check it out ;)

and subscribe if you like it ;)

  • u can buy them for $10 on ebay

  • DUDE, that thing looks sweet!

  • I bought one on ebay for $.25 :-)

  • cheap knockoff you support criminals

  • well then I guess I do support them. and guess what else... I bought a knock off rubiks 4x4x4, a knock off skewb, a knock off megaminx, and a knock off gordians knot. and if that's not enough for you, I have two more knock offs coming in the mail this month.

  • i bout one on ebay for 5.50 cents

  • Theres a seller on ebay that sells a silver and gold one together for 10 dollars and free shipping

  • He got those from Deal Extreme (also has free shipping), but Deal Extreme sometimes confuses orders so It would also be a good Idea to buy from him. LOL he only makes like 40 cent profit.

  • they sell v-cube 7 too.

  • freaky,,

just got one a few days back,,,

you solve it as you solve the 3x3 but this cube can be very distracting because it will be harder to twist the cube once its all messed up.

love the mirrors, but it wil be full of finger prints once you play with it..

  • How much is this puzzle? I like it

  • dud i ordered one from think geek and i think im gonna get it in i think next week some day

  • i ordered one about a month ago and i wus able to solve it rite out of the box

  • have you already solve it? It looks hard

  • Yes I can solve it. Its considerably more difficult than the normal 3x3 but only due to the time consumed by deciphering the cubies. Its not nearly as difficult as the square-1 though :)

  • i want dat neva herd of dat one

  • where did u get it from??

  • 1:23

Thinkgeek's website is by far the best I have found, but Ebay also has them, but at a higher price (or lower price but substantially higher shipping).

  • I gonna buy this next mounth. Funny thing is it cost more to shipping the cube then what the cube itself cost.

  • tightness

Im gonna try and get one soon

  • can you solve it like a rubiks cube? i mean, with the same technique? looks kinda harder..

  • If you check out my stop motion of the Mirror Cube you can actually see that it is solved exactly like a 3x3, its just more difficult to distinguish which cubies go where and which algorithms to use to permute and orient, otherwise its exactly the same.

  • how long is it if u buy it from ebay?

  • The best deal I found on Ebay was $19 (US) but the shipping was $12, so it would be a better buy at thinkgeek. The average shipping time is about 5 days but its varies due to sellers dependability/processing and method of shipping. Still, I'd venture to say 5 days.

  • im getting one soon :D

  • As I say in the video, Thinkgeek(.com)

  • i just got mine this coming week, i just got stunned when u turned it and it looks like a transformer like or robotic what ever.. thanks

  • This really is one of my favorites. It would have been one thing to ave covered it in the reflective stickers and changing shapes of cubies, it also changes shape! Brilliant!
