ok i just cant believe some people were paying more attention to the 2 minutes damon went to the hospital for elena and the "i would never leave u thing". that was nothing compared to elena and strfan's scene that SAME night. Stefan fighting with himself and klaus to not harm elena, until he had no option but to give in. That showed me love like no other scene. SE the best ever!

But then theres Stefan, and Klaus is totally right, the only thing stronger than his craving for blood (which is massive) is his love for Elena. This is my favorite episode of season 3. That says a lot considering I am a Delena fan. I thought this episode was just amazing. It had so much actions & it had BOTH Stelena & Delena scenes. Stefan was just awesome! I love him. It was so sweet of him to try to fight the compulsion because he did not want to hurt Elena. He truly loves her.

I know that Stefan loves Elena, but I don't understand how he can resist Klaus' compulsion. I mean, Klaus is what, 1000 years old? How is it that Klaus and Elijah were able to compell other vampires to hurt and even kill themselves, without them putting up a fight, but for Stefan, it's different? I know that he doesn't want to hurt her, but he's been COMPELLED, he doesn't have a choice. I don't get it.

Katherine is much older than Stefan and therefore stronger, but she couldn't fight it when Klaus and Elijah compelled her in S2. I accept that Stefan loves Elena, but I still find this a little odd.
@sawyerlovesfreckles Compulsion isn't about how old someone is though, the reason why Bill was able to resist it is because he trained himself for years specifically to resist compulsion. Katherine hasn't done anything like that as far as we know of, just the vervain thing. Stefan's determination here was reasonable to me.

I know how to break the compulsion of the originals and it's through the eyes,the right eye and the left eye have sealing and breaking abilities it is only when you use both eyes that you can dis-pell a compulsion. The right eye seals and the left eye breaks, but by using both you can break it's compulsion and send it back into the compellor.
The point is that he tried to fight it off, he banged into lockers and stabbed himself with a broomstick. He fought back agaisnt Klaus but his power was too strong and stefan couldn't fight it off. That my friends is true love. Delena will never have what Stelena have. Stefan loves elena. Elena loves stefan. Stelena will be together again whether you Delena fans like it or not. Stelena forever<3!

I'm a hardcore Delena fan. Having said that, i have to say-- this scene is the one of the most powerful scenes in this whole series...and that's saying something, since i'm the type that only watches delena scenes and skips the stelena stuff. This is my favorite episode of season 3. That says a lot considering I am a Delena fan. I thought this episode was just amazing. It had so much actions & it had BOTH Stelena & Delena scenes. Stefan was just awesome! I love him. It was so sweet of him to try to fight the compulsion because he did not want to hurt Elena. He truly loves her.
I don't get why Elena said that he "owed" her. He's done so much already.
Anyways, I miss the old Stefan. Still love this one though.

Stefan could've gone back to her at the end of 3x09 but he chose to leave town without telling her why he'd 'saved' Klaus. The way some Stefan fans hate on her worries me. It seems they will excuse Stefan's behaviour no matter what, and villify Elena even when she's tried so hard to be there for him.

I know that Stefan loves Elena, but I don't understand how he can resist Klaus' compulsion. I mean, Klaus is what, 1000 years old? How is it that Klaus and Elijah were able to compell other vampires to hurt and even kill themselves, without them putting up a fight, but for Stefan, it's different? I know that he doesn't want to hurt her, but he's been COMPELLED, he doesn't have a choice. I don't get it.

Katherine is much older than Stefan and therefore stronger, but she couldn't fight it when Klaus and Elijah compelled her in S2. I accept that Stefan loves Elena, but I still find this a little odd.

Katherine hasn't done anything like that as far as we know of, just the vervain thing. Stefan's determination here was reasonable to me.

If the writers had shown Kat trying to resist their compulsion, I think I would have believed this a bit more. Bc vampires have never been shown to have the power to resist until now.

I know how to break the compulsion of the originals and it's through the eyes,the right eye and the left eye have sealing and breaking abilities it is only when you use both eyes that you can dis-pell a compulsion. The right eye seals and the left eye breaks, but by using both you can break it's compulsion and send it back into the compellor.

I'm a hardcore Delena fan. Having said that, i have to say-- this scene is the one of the most powerful scenes in this whole series...and that's saying something, since i'm the type that only watches delena scenes and skips the stelena stuff.
