  • Well the projector hasnt been used in a while, but I did hook up the pap to it

  • So how is the projector holding up since you posted this vid?

  • it would nice if u actually show a movie instead of gaming.

  • Target sells this projector under the name:Brightboxe. They have it on clearance for $90 or less.

  • @BarbieBillionaire only that one is at times deffective.

  • Thank you. extremely helpful. :)

  • @sinfulonekain ok thats cool dont got HD cabel for my 360 and just want something bigger than my 19 inch tv in my dorm lol

  • hey do you think this is a good buy if I just want to use it in a dorm room to play movies and 360?

  • @DTKB55 well let see, in my honest opinion its good for non hd material.. but if you are in a budget and don't want to shell out 1000 for a HD projector yeah it will do just nicely. remember you are only limited to 480p and a native 16:9 ratio.

  • Can you hook up speakers to this projector?

  • Why not play a newer relevant game man? Why play some old assed game?

  • @pandmonium2k7 There is no such thing as a revelent game. Maybe the guy likes older games? Nothing wrong with that

  • @ShastaHawk THANK YOU!!

  • Man i feel like an idiot........Plasma, DLP and i thought they were good deals, just now i realized you can use a projector on a freakin wall!! I'm sure when it's that size you don't care if it's 1080p or not, time to kick the RPTV to the curb.

  • okay. a few more Q's.. (a) does it produce a bright enough image for Gaming with a PS2 with a dark backround in the game? (mercinaries) (b) would you prefer it to someone who wants the 'home theater effect? i cant decide what to get.. haha thanks again!

  • @Godlover102 a) that really depends. brighter games=better in most cases b) I would recommend this to someone who wants to play anything in the COMPLETE darkness with a 50-70 inch screen.

  • Can you see the Pixels? i mean like if you were to walk up to the screen can you see them? are the pixels smaller than a BB? just wanna know. we might get one. thank you for the review!!!!!!!!!

  • @Godlover102 Most definitely smaller than a BB even at 70+ inches. You will be absolutely blown away by this thing.

  • Did you use a screen for this or did you project to a white wall?

  • I just ordered this as my first projector. I plan on using it with my Xbox 360. Obviously it wont be HD but do you think I will be disappointed?

  • @SJHall1994 You probably will. For the Dreamcast with VGA it suffices, but using composite is pretty bad (with my PS2). I don't know how well it will do with an Xbox 360, but the blacks are invisible, and newer games and consoles usually have a lot of that.

  • @JonnMcNally Well I have a VGA out for my Xbox so maybe it will be okay.

  • @SJHall1994 The VGA source says Component/VGA, so maybe with an adapter it can use Component? Like just a straight up adapter; no trans-coding? BTW how'd you get VGA out?

  • @JonnMcNally Something similar to this (search Xbox 360 VGA HD AV Cable) First result, Microsoft Branded.

  • @JonnMcNally Actually its that exact one.

  • @SJHall1994 Okay, thanks. Let me know how much it improves over Composite so I know if I should get it.

  • @JonnMcNally Will do! Thanks for the help!

  • @JonnMcNally Okay, I just got mine in the mail this morning and I hooked it up with the VGA cord and the Composite cables. It is definitely worth getting. With my composite cables there was a slight flickering effect and it was obviously less quality. I hooked up my VGA cord and it was WAY better. Make sure you go into settings and set it to a resolution that the projector can handle though, because the image will be very distorted otherwise.

  • @SJHall1994 Great, thanks.

  • I got this and it's great. It's my first projector >_< ... one thing... when I use it with my Dremcast VGA box, it is cut off on the right side, any recommendations?

  • @JonnMcNally hmmm I didn't have that issue myself, try changing the source and then back, usually those cables are really picky.

  • @JonnMcNally It may be your VGA Box. Someone on Amazon is selling a third party one -- the clear case one -- for 20 dollars, which I have and it works fine. I have another, a Blaze branded one, which has a similar problem to yours.

  • thanks your video made me order one from best buy.the downside is i just realized i wont be able to hookup my surround sound system to it or is there a connection that might work you know of? your 1080p projector is quite impressive btw.

    thanks again

  • @jimjonesable thanks, so why not just hook up directly to the reciver instead of using the projector's speaker?

  • @sinfulonekain your right i will run through stereo out to projector in .thanks i'm a newbtech if there ever was

  • @sinfulonekain your right i will run through stereo out to projector in .thanks i'm a newbtech if there ever was one.

  • Thanks for the video!

  • U should make an unboxing video

  • @suprakazada691 Seems a little late doesn't it?

  • will the component to vga adapter allow a 720p signal to work at all? Obviously I know the resolution would be lower. I think I'm getting one either way, nothing touches it in this price range.

  • curious about connecting it through vga, will it do a 720p (obviously downconverted) and display it in widescreen, does it show anything up through vga in widescreen? I'm just worried about the specs listing it as doing only vga svga and xga through the vga port.

  • @crumbaker no 720p.... it goes great 480p though, I hook to the Dreamcast using a VGA adapter; also you can use a VGA to Component to achive 480p in other things!! The projector is 16:10 actually Native!

  • Thank you for showing an example of the actual projected image from the projector. Other videos on the Optoma PT100 show only the projector itself. I have the Optoma PT100 also and it is amazing for the price.
