  • every piper should learn this one for their repertoire

  • I'm speechless.....brings tears to my eyes..... beautiful.....

  • wow.. i can't belive he does all that!:. he is great!

  • Very good pipper (SPAIN)...

We have not Uillean Pipe, but good pipers like Carlos Nuñez and Cristina Pato.

    John McSherry is very GOOD

    THANKS

  • @alvatec1

I had the pleasure to play with Carlos on stage he's not a good Piper he is one of the most talented and musically gifted Piper / Musician's on this Planet!!! He's up there with all the best Piper's the Man is incredible!!!!!!!!!! to say he is good would be to insult him!

  • Celtic soul music.

  • John McSherry plays dem Uilleann pipes like a saint. Just brilliant, cheers

  • Brilliant, would love to hear John McSherry and Gary Moore have a duel / duet

  • My heart has been wrenched from me. Superb!

  • is there a continuation video?

  • Is this tune has something with the Kleizmer Doina??? This tune is so sad and so so beautifull

  • John McSherry is the best!!

  • At First Light is such a great album...

  • excellent playing great finger work.

  • Once there was a sequel to this video, which beginned with the end of Doinna, but now it's not here anyore. Where has it gone?

  • Most beautifully played, this plaintive melody really does tug at me. The backing by the keyboard player

also contributes to the overall beauty of the piece. The guitar came in the end and really lifted me - I expected to be transported out of melancholly via jig or reel but, the video ended - I hope the next video continues the musical jouney ! Beautiful !!!

  • Buddy taught himself the pipes (aka the Irish Rubics cube)!? Wow!

  • He cannot read music!!

    He taught himself!!!

    Amazing!

  • The ability to read music is not always a good thing.

You tend to act on instinct rather than worry about "Correctness".

Many of the best folk, pop and rock artists can't read.

    None of the Beatles could.

But they were rather good at what they did.

mind you, they had a brilliant producer!.

  • i cant read music either, and im doing fine on my whistles :) doing everything by ear is also much much cheaper :p i also ordered me an uilleann practiseset.

  • Truly the incredibly beautiful music of Ireland's haunting wild places. When I lived out of Ireland, this kind of sound pulled at my heart, telling me to return. It is so well played too.

  • This man's playing is pure unadulterated genius.

  • Epic and heartbreaking

  • A clear example of how the uilleann pipes, in the hands of a master like McSherry, can produce some of the most emotional and hauntingly beautiful music in the world. Absolutely brilliant.

  • Breathtaking.

  • Words fail what an awesome piece of music

  • so beautiful, it pulls at my heart
