I had the pleasure to play with Carlos on stage he's not a good Piper he is one of the most talented and musically gifted Piper / Musician's on this Planet!!! He's up there with all the best Piper's the Man is incredible!!!!!!!!!! to say he is good would be to insult him!
Most beautifully played, this plaintive melody really does tug at me. The backing by the keyboard player
also contributes to the overall beauty of the piece. The guitar came in the end and really lifted me - I expected to be transported out of melancholly via jig or reel but, the video ended - I hope the next video continues the musical jouney ! Beautiful !!!
i cant read music either, and im doing fine on my whistles :) doing everything by ear is also much much cheaper :p i also ordered me an uilleann practiseset.
Truly the incredibly beautiful music of Ireland's haunting wild places. When I lived out of Ireland, this kind of sound pulled at my heart, telling me to return. It is so well played too.
A clear example of how the uilleann pipes, in the hands of a master like McSherry, can produce some of the most emotional and hauntingly beautiful music in the world. Absolutely brilliant.
every piper should learn this one for their repertoire

He cannot read music!!
He taught himself!!!
Amazing!

The ability to read music is not always a good thing.
You tend to act on instinct rather than worry about "Correctness".
Many of the best folk, pop and rock artists can't read.
None of the Beatles could.
But they were rather good at what they did.
mind you, they had a brilliant producer!.
